Gizelle Bryant responded to Charrisse Jackson-Jordan’s comments to Carlos King.
“Real Housewives of Potomac” fans had a lot to say about the recent revelation Ashley Darby made during an earlier episode. As we reported, Ashley told Charrisse Jackson-Jordan that she hooked up with her son, Jackson. When Ashley appeared on “Watch What Happens Live,” she told Andy Cohen that they actually hooked up more than once while he was living with Charrisse. And she worried that Charrisse would one day spot her on the Ring camera footage.
Charrisse had a calm reaction to Ashley’s confession on the show. However, she has since had more to say on social media, as well as an interview with Carlos King. In the interview, Charrisse told him that it seemed incestual for Ashley to hook up with Jackson. She also questioned if Ashley may have done it to have a storyline on RHOP.
She also told Carlos that she feels like Gizelle Bryant and Karen Huger worked together to erase her from the show.
“I have the nicest home. I had…those girls didn’t even have attorneys. I did their contracts. My attorneys did their contracts. Everything was in my home. Our photoshoot was at my house. You know how it is. First season of a show, there isn’t a lot of money. All these things, so it seemed like it was about me and people decided, no. We’re gonna make it about us.”
Charrisse added, “Karen and Gizelle aligned and decided we’re gonna erase Charrisse. They created a whole new narrative.”
She went on to tell Carlos that Karen and Gizelle made it a point to look for women who had an association with Jack and Jill of America, Inc. Charrisse did not, so they pushed her out.
Charrisse also said that she helped cast all the OGs, with the exception of Ashley. She believes Gizelle nicknamed Karen the Grande Dame to be spiteful.

Gizelle and Robyn Dixon addressed the Charrisse and Ashley situation on “Reasonably Shady.” Robyn said that she wouldn’t be mad about a costar sleeping with her son. But she would have a problem with it being revealed on the show. And that is where Robyn thinks Ashley went wrong.
Robyn also said that it seems like Charrisse changed her perspective when she realized fans on social media believed Ashley crossed the line.
As for Gizelle, she agrees.
“What I care about today is Charrisse; we discussed it on camera, yes. Me, Ashley, and Charrisse. I personally thought when Ashley was in the process of mentioning it, I thought Charrisse was gon like flip a table, go the hell off, go crazy. Anything. Nothing happened. Okay great. She’s giving the same energy that you just described, Robyn. Jackson’s grown; he can do what he wants, which he is. So is Ashley. Ashley’s a beautiful girl. And for years, Charrisse has made comments about Ashley being her daughter-in-law. They were flirty, flirty, and that would be so cute. Blah, blah, blah. So there’s no issue here,” said Gizelle.
She added, “Then, when it was brought up again in a whole other scene, Charrisse had the same energy. She kinda thought it was funny. It was kind of cute. Whatever. You can’t then let the fans gas you up to then have a moment and then have an issue off camera. I think it’s ridiculous. And how I’m catching strays is beyond me. And how Charrisse is rewriting history, it is beyond me, and I’m not even going to get into the weeds of that because there’s actually no need.”
Gizelle also said she is the one who would vouch for Charrisse and made sure that production kept Charrisse in the mix. But it seems as if that will change now.
“Now that I know, Charrisse, how you really feel, now that I know, I will govern myself accordingly. But because I have always cared for Charrisse and continued to care about her, I will wish her the best of luck. I want nothing but great things in her life, and God bless. There’s never been a moment for me to support Charrisse, and I haven’t done it. It was never a moment when I didn’t speak up for Charrisse, and I haven’t done it. So…”

Do I think Charrisse changed her tune when she read the comments? Yes. But that doesn’t mean Ashley wasn’t wrong. Gizelle makes it her life’s work to defend Ashley and I am frankly over it. She would act a fool if anyone did this to her daughters.
Charrisse will never accept that the fans just don’t like her and think she’s boring. LOL.
