In the latest episode of “Real Housewives of Potomac,” Monique sees similarities in Angel’s marriage while Angel struggles to host her first trip. Here are the highlights for “High and Dry.”
Angel responds to the accusation made by a realtor.
The episode begins with Angel asking the ladies to share the rumors they have heard about her. Wendy says a realtor told her Angel wanted a rental property that looked like it cost $14,000 a month, but she only wanted to pay $1,000 a month. Angel laughs at this and says she actually paid $14,000 a month for their former rental in Maryland.
Tia calls this realtor unprofessional for telling Wendy this. Gizelle says the realtor is actually a great one.
In a green screen interview, Wendy says she doesn’t think the realtor lied because she wasn’t the only person who said this about Angel.
Stacey questions whether Angel can just call the realtor and ask why she lied. In response, Angel says she doesn’t need to make the call.
Wendy reminds Stacey that she didn’t want to call TJ when they suggested she should at the last reunion. Stacey tells producers that her situation was different in a confessional because TJ was a personal acquaintance. Since Angel only had a business relationship with the realtor, Stacey doesn’t understand why Angel didn’t make the call.
Regardless, Angel tells the group that what was alleged about her was untrue. But they can believe whatever they want.
Bobby and his friends aren’t all that welcoming.
The trip isn’t exactly going the way the group wanted. Angel has decided that Tia and Keiarna will be the only two to stay at her home. Everyone else is staying an hour and a half away at the cabin. And it hasn’t been a good experience for the ones at the cabin. They hope the trip improves when they spend some time at Angel’s home later on.
Unfortunately, it is more awkward when the women make it to Angel and Bobby’s home. Angel introduces them to Bobby’s friends, but they do not speak to the women and ignore them while they smoke cigars. Wendy, Gizelle, and Stacey note to producers how uncomfortable it was to speak to a group of men who did not speak back. Stacey jokes that the vibe felt similar to “Get Out.”
Stacey and Tia continue to have tension.
The group has dinner outside at Angel’s home. Gizelle tells Angel that the water is always on and off at the cabin. Angel apologizes and says she will look into this with the property owner. Stacey and Tia discuss their status in front of everyone else. Tia thinks Stacey doesn’t know who she is and changes depending on who she is around at the moment. When she says Stacey lied about not knowing Chris Samuels, Stacey says she never denied knowing Chris. Ashley labels her a compulsive liar, but producers show footage of Stacey saying she knows Chris.
Stacey is convinced Tia wants an issue so she can fit in with the others.
Tia tells Monique she will see the real Stacey in due time. Monique still questions how Chris knew he was discussed ten minutes later.
Angel thinks Monique is projecting.
After they finish dinner, Monique proposes that Angel, Tia, and Keiarna spend the night at the cabin with everyone else. Angel says she needs to make sure this is okay with Bobby because he had the kids all day. When Monique says Bobby can handle his dad duties, Angel raises her hand up in irritation. Monique notices this.
When the women get in their car to return to the cabin, Ashley says Angel uses Bobby as a “security blanket” to get out of hanging with them. Meanwhile, Angel tells Bobby she doesn’t really want to go to the cabin, and she’s spent enough time with the ladies as it is.
Back at the cabin, Stacey and the others find out the water has stopped working again. Gizelle is fed up. She is now working diligently to find them a hotel.
As for Angel, she tells Keiarna and Tia about an update Jassi gave her. Jassi told Angel that Monique said it seemed like Angel’s marriage is similar to hers. Angel accuses Monique of projecting. She is prepared to go to war over Bobby.
What are your thoughts on the episode?
I don’t think Monique is projecting at all and I didn’t think Gizelle was hating or projecting when she thought the same thing about Monique years ago. A lot of WAGs have similar stories.
Angel has no business being on this show.
