In the latest episode of “Married to Medicine,” Contessa’s trip kicks off with Brandi and Angel clashing and Heavenly making an unexpected appearance amid her feud with Simone. Here are the highlights for “Girls Trip! Minus One.”
Heavenly doesn’t want to be around Simone.
Simone updates Cecil about her latest clash with Quad. She confirms she did tell Heavenly she would look up the VIN to Quad’s Rolls-Royce if she didn’t back off. But she said it as a joke. Simone is tired of Heavenly stirring the pot and talking down on her marriage.
Simone doesn’t think Heavenly’s marriage is as happy as she makes it seem. She points to Damon not telling Heavenly about their son’s arrest as proof of this.
Heavenly also vents about Simone to Damon. She doesn’t really want to go on Contessa’s trip because she’s worried things could escalate further. Damon didn’t like it when Simone said Heavenly fakes being happily married. At times, he thinks the women bully each other and aren’t aware of the harmful things they say.
Brandi and Angel get into it.
Contessa’s trip to Miramar, Florida, starts with tension after the rooms are given. Brandi and Angel learn they will have to sleep in the same room, which has bunk beds. Angel asks Brandi if she has good energy, and this leads to an argument between them.
Angel eventually apologizes after she labels Brandi as “aggressive.” In a confessional, Brandi says this was a non-apology, and Angel only backed off after she realized Brandi wouldn’t.
Simone addresses Heavenly’s absence.
The ladies spend some time at the pool. Contessa reveals Heavenly is not coming. Simone goes on to say that Heavenly said she didn’t want to go because Simone got physical with her. However, Simone doesn’t see it that way. She removed Heavenly’s arm from around her shoulders when they were taking pictures. And she told Heavenly she didn’t want to be touched, but never assaulted her.
Tensions calm when some of the ladies go with Contessa to hang out with dolphins.
Angel confronts Toya.
Toya asks Angel why she said she didn’t know how to be a friend. Angel tells Toya it was wrong for her to tell her date she asked to be hooked up with one of Eugene’s friends. Toya’s excuse is that she was going to hook Angel up with one of Eugene’s good friends, so she felt played. Angel thinks this is just a weak deflection. She tells Toya she doesn’t need her to help her in the relationship department. She’s good.
Heavenly shows up not too long after, shocking Toya.
When Heavenly arrives at the house with Toya, Angel, and Jackie, she walks past Simone without speaking.
Toya concludes that this won’t end well as she does her best meteorologist impression in a funny confessional.
