In the latest episode of “Married to Medicine,” Curtis offends Quad and King with his comments about their baby journey. Here are the highlights for “Couples Therapy and Paradise Problems.”
Eugene speaks his mind and gets clarity about the Med Gala participants.
The episode begins with the continuation of Eugene venting his frustrations to Damon and the other husbands. He says Heavenly said they put Toya in charge of the Med Gala to see it fail. And he thinks this wasn’t cool.
King questions why the men have to clash over the issues the women are having. Curtis agrees and figures they should get to the bottom of the matter by seeing who is committed to donating. Steve says he and Mimi won’t be donating because Mimi wasn’t included in any planning for the event. Everyone else confirms they will donate.
Did King propose to Quad?
The women discuss relationships while they are relaxing. Quad feels the biggest obstacle in her relationship currently is that King doesn’t feel like Quad caters to him enough. When Heavenly asks why Quad gives King the benefits of marriage, she insists on having a baby with King without being married. She says King suggested they get married at a courthouse, but she didn’t know he was serious. And he’s been different since.
Later that night, Mimi becomes emotional as she opens up to the group about raising her autistic son. She worries about him a lot because the world can be cruel. It is important to her to be affirmed by Steve. She needs to hear she is doing a great job as a mother.
Heavenly and Damon open up.
Damon and Heavenly vent to others about the stress they have about their son no longer communicating with them. This is the most frustrated Damon has ever been. He says if any of his enemies wanted an issue now, he’d entertain it.
Heavenly is hurt and worried for his safety.
Contessa asks Angel how Bernard is enjoying the couples’ trip. She says she didn’t ask him to come and his lack of clarity on where they stand annoys her. So it’s best they just remain friends.
Curtis goes there.
King and Curtis have a tense moment when the men catch up later on. Curtis says King and Quad are doing things out of order biblically by not being married before trying to have a child. This could be why things haven’t worked out. In response, King tells Curtis not to weaponize the Bible against him, and Quad’s age played a role in their decision-making.
During a confessional, King says Curtis has no right to call him out like this due to his cheating past.
Quad tells the women that she has been hesitant about getting married again because her first marriage was a mess.
Damon and Eugene talk it out.
While speaking to a psychologist, the men attempt to be more open about their feelings. Damon admits he doesn’t like to open up when he’s going through something. He will often hold things in until he snaps.
Eugene says he is the same way, and that is why he walked away the other night. Damon tells Eugene not to talk about his son, and this confuses Eugene since he made no mention of Damon’s son.
Eugene tells Damon he wasn’t going to say anything about his son, and he would never cross that line. The two men dap it up and hug.
King and Quad continue to have problems.
Quad and King discuss Curtis’ comments when they are back home from Jamaica. Jackie has been texting Quad all day because she’s embarrassed.
King questions if they need to get married anyway. He thinks times have changed.
They discuss their relationship as well. King still doesn’t feel like Quad shows him enough appreciation or consideration. In response, Quad asks King if he needs a hearing aid because she sings his praises all the time. King disagrees. He says Quad got on him a lot while they were in Ghana the most recent time and he could look at it like Quad is being ungrateful but that would come off the wrong way.
In a green screen interview, their tension is worse. Producers ask what work they have done since the couples trip. Quad says she has done the work but it doesn’t matter if King doesn’t. King insists he has done the work and Quad strongly disagrees.
