In the latest episode of “Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta,” Shakira and Scrappy continue to have a contentious coparenting relationship. Plus, Yandy and Spice lay all out on the table. Here are the highlights for “Girls Trippin.”
Salma can’t talk to her parents about her marriage.
Renni Rucci and Salma Slims talk on the beach. They are enjoying their time at Martha’s Vineyard. Salma says she can’t really vent to her parents about her marriage issues with 24hrs because they are Muslim. Renni asks if 24hrs can be controlling and Salma answers yes. Renni questions if it is possible that Salma texted Sierra’s brother-in-law because she wanted a little independence, and she says that it is possible.
Renni thinks Salma should tell 24hrs how she’s feeling.
Spice and Yandy clash again.
Spice and Yandy have tension yet again after Spice asks Yandy what she thinks about the video Sierra uploaded to Instagram. In the video, Sierra accused Mendeecees of messing with a married woman. Yandy asks Spice what she thinks about it, and Spice says this isn’t about her but Mendeecees. Regardless, she thinks it’s not cool for Sierra to have done this since she was supposed to be Yandy’s friend. Yandy says she has the same feelings.
Spice says Yandy has been really snippy lately whenever Mendeecees is the topic of conversation. Yandy apologizes and says she didn’t mean to come off snippy.
Later, Spice talks things out with Yandy. She understands she can be stubborn, and she wants to make sure she speaks her mind before they return to Atlanta. Spice tells Yandy that sometimes it seems like she can’t receive any constructive criticism from her friends. Yandy doesn’t want Spice to feel that way, and both women agree to hear each other out more in their friendship.
Sierra’s husband rubs her the wrong way.
It’s the evening of Momma Dee’s masquerade party. Jessica White is back. Although she still hates men and patriarchy, she met a man she really likes and has a connection with. She and her new boo chat with Erica Banks and her fiancée, Dro. Both couples admit they are moving fast but are happy nonetheless.
When Sierra and her husband Zae arrive, Scrappy’s baby momma Shakira greets her and apologizes for the drama they had at Shakira’s baby shower. She was cold to Sierra because she was listening too much to Scrappy at the time. Sierra accepts her apology.
Things get awkward when Zae is introduced to Jasmine Washington. He tells her he can see why Kirk “chose” her. Sierra immediately asks Zae why he would say this. In a confessional, Jasmine and Sierra say that Zae crossed the line and what he did was seriously a red flag.
Scrappy is frustrating Shakira.
Shakira says hello to Erica Dixon, Momma Dee, and Emani. She vents to them about Scrappy. He doesn’t spend enough time with their son. One time, he brought the child back after only having him for 30 minutes. Erica says Scrappy did this with Emani when she was a baby.
Shakira also doesn’t understand why Scrappy doesn’t want his girlfriend to meet her. In a confessional, Erica says she wishes Scrappy would grow up and be the man they all know he can be.
Zane and Ashley clash over her last name change proposal.
Ashley tells Zane she has finally decided to change her last name to his. However, she wants to hyphenate it and still retain her ex’s last name since it’s her son’s last name as well.
Zane thinks Ashley is being ridiculous. He gets up to leave and tells Ashley he will be “outside” tonight and Ashley says he is “always outside.”
