On the latest episode of “Love and Marriage: Huntsville,” Destiny and LaTisha clear the air. Meanwhile, Nell opens up to her daughter Kayla about family stress. In addition, Tricia and Ken attempt to repair their relationship through therapy with Dr. Francis. Unfortunately, things devolve into an argument when Ken calls LaTricia a “compulsive liar.”

Here’s the recap for “A Detroit with Destiny.”

Destiny and LaTisha attempt to resolve their issues.

Destiny and LaTisha sit down to address the tension between them after recent conflicts within the group. LaTisha explains that something Destiny previously said hurt her feelings, though she admits she cannot remember the exact words. Instead, she says she remembers how the comment made her feel. Destiny questions how someone can remain upset about a comment they cannot recall.

The conversation turns to accountability within their friend group. The women acknowledge that apologies and ownership are often rare among them. However, they still attempt to move forward. LaTisha says she believes loyalty matters. She explains that she sometimes worries about being hurt if friends maintain relationships with people who have issues with her. Destiny responds by asking to be judged by her actions rather than her words. Furthermore, she adds that she may not always say things perfectly, but her behavior should show where she stands.

The tone shifts when Destiny shares a personal update. She reveals that she recently discovered three siblings who had been adopted and moved away years ago. Destiny explains that she plans to travel to Detroit to meet them for the first time. This softens the mood as the women begin discussing how they can support her.

Nell vents to Kayla about family pressures.

Elsewhere, Nell meets with her daughter Kayla at their daycare to discuss both business and family matters. Nell explains that Kayla is currently serving as acting program director and will have more responsibilities managing operations and parent payments. She praises Kayla for being dependable and says that if she had to leave the daycare to one of her children, Kayla would be the one because she understands the business so well.

The conversation later turns emotional as Nell admits she has been feeling overwhelmed. She tells Kayla she is angry with her husband Chris, because she feels he has been too laid back and has not made enough time for her despite everything she has done to support him. Nell also expresses frustration with their son, Lance, saying she often ends up watching his children longer than expected because he does not return promptly to pick them up.

Nell explains that constantly helping everyone in the family has started to wear on her. Kayla reassures her mother that she is proud of her and appreciates everything she does, leading to an emotional moment between them.

Destiny confides in LaTricia about the group.

Later, Destiny meets with LaTricia and recounts the tense dinner with Kimmi and LaTisha. Destiny says the conversation quickly turned to the winery situation, with LaTisha expressing that she felt hurt by something Destiny said but could not recall exactly what was said. She says she struggled to understand how the issue could still be so serious if the comment itself could not be remembered.

Destiny also tells Tricia that LaTisha said she now knows what “box” to put Destiny in and implied that she could not fully trust her. She admits she felt as though Kimmi and LaTisha were ganging up on her during the conversation, though Tricia suggests the tension may have stemmed from earlier disagreements involving the group.

During the same conversation, Destiny shares that she plans to travel to Detroit to meet the siblings she recently discovered. She explains that after hearing the news, Kimmi and LaTisha offered to accompany her on the trip to provide support during what could be an emotional reunion.

LaTisha explains Kimmi’s concerns about her real estate team.

LaTisha later speaks with Marsau about a conversation she had with Kimmi regarding her residential real estate team. According to LaTisha, Kimmi admitted she felt a certain way about not being included despite working in residential real estate.

LaTisha says she was surprised by Kimmi’s reaction because years earlier, she encouraged Kimmi to become a broker. She wanted them to start a real estate team together. At the time, Kimmi declined and said she had no interest in getting her broker’s license. However, LaTisha says she later learned Kimmi had obtained the license. Kimmi also launched her own venture. This led her to believe Kimmi did not want to work with her.

Marsau responds by saying Kimmi tends to move quietly when working on projects. In fact, he notes that people often learn about her plans at the same time the public does.

Kimmi and LaTisha discuss the Destiny situation with their husbands.

Later, Kimmi and LaTisha continue their conversations with Maurice and Marsau about the dinner with Destiny. Kimmi explains that she invited the women to Taco Tuesday in hopes of mediating the tension between them. However, the conversation quickly became tense. This shift happened when LaTisha began sharing how she felt about their friendship.

LaTisha tells the group she confronted Destiny because she believed Destiny had not been acting like a good friend. She also admits that while she cannot remember Destiny’s exact comment, she clearly remembers how it made her feel. When Destiny accused the Scotts of ganging up on her, LaTisha says she pointed out that Nell had previously made a similar accusation about the group.

LaTisha also reveals that she joked about placing Destiny in a “don’t trust that ho box,” though she later admits she does not like feeling uncertain about the friendship. Despite the disagreement, LaTisha says she and Kimmi offered to travel to Detroit with Destiny after learning she planned to meet her siblings there.

Marsau questions the decision, pointing out the contradiction between distrusting someone and volunteering to support them during such an emotional moment.

Maurice discusses Kimmi’s marital concerns with his brothers.

Later, Maurice meets with his brothers and opens up about a recent conversation with Kimmi about their marriage. Maurice explains that Kimmi told him she used to enjoy watching him work on renovation projects because seeing him physically build and fix things was attractive to her.

Maurice says he now prefers to hire crews rather than doing construction work himself, which may be part of the disconnect between them. His brothers suggest that Kimmi might simply want to see both sides of him — the professional side and the hands-on side — because some women find that balance appealing.

Maurice also brings up the ongoing tension between Destiny, Kimmi, and LaTisha, admitting he finds the situation confusing since the women appear to resolve issues one moment and clash again the next.

Ken and Tricia turn to therapy.

Ken and Tricia attend a therapy session with Dr. Francis in hopes of addressing the problems in their relationship. Tricia says she hopes the session will provide clarity and explains that she sees therapy as a final opportunity to determine whether their relationship can work.

Ken tells Dr. Francis that communication has been a major challenge between them. He says it can be difficult to talk with Tricia because she often shuts down emotionally, which eventually caused him to stop pushing for conversations.

LaTricia explains that she created an emotional “safe space” for herself to avoid getting hurt. While it initially made her feel protected, she says it eventually prevented her from expressing herself honestly in the relationship.

The therapy session turns into an argument.

The conversation becomes tense when Dr. Francis asks Ken to describe the current state of their relationship. Ken says he still loves Tricia. He believes unresolved issues from her previous marriage continue to affect their dynamic.

LaTricia immediately disputes that claim, insisting she does not talk about her ex-husband during their arguments. Ken responds that even if she does not mention him directly, the anger she carries from that relationship still influences how she reacts during conflicts.

As the exchange escalates, LaTricia says she often stays quiet because she feels misunderstood. She believes both of them have issues they need to address. Additionally, she recalls moments when Ken questioned her whereabouts. He also suggested she might be involved with someone else.

The argument reaches its peak when Ken accuses LaTricia of being dishonest, calling her a “compulsive liar,” which heightens the tension during the therapy session.
