On the latest episode of “Belle Collective,” Selena presses the group for answers after a rumor about Mike spreads. Meanwhile, Lateshia gathers the women for her talk show focus group. However, the event shifts as Selina questions the motives behind the rumor and Tambra calls out Lateshia’s friend.
Here are the highlights for “Baby Rumor Got Back.”
Kerri tells Selena about the rumor involving Mike.
Kerri pulls Selena aside and says she heard “something about a baby.” She explains that the information had been circulating within the Collective. She also clarifies that she didn’t see anything herself and only knew what others said and what Mike told her directly.
As they continue, more context emerges about how the rumor started. Someone posted a comment under a photo of Mike, Glen, and Cliff, claiming one of them had a baby on the way. Then, the speculation narrowed when people said “it wasn’t Glen” and “it wasn’t Cliff,” which led others to assume it was Mike.
Although Mike already told Selena about the rumor, she questions why it is gaining traction now. She points out that she is planning her wedding, so the timing feels off and adds pressure to an already important moment.
Lateshia invites Tambra to lunch and brings unexpected information to the table.
Lateshia meets with Tambra to work through their issues and acknowledges that it took years for them to sit down again. However, the tone shifts when Tambra realizes another guest has joined them. As a result, she immediately says the setup “feels like an ambush.”
Lateshia explains she invited Shante because she wanted everything addressed directly. She says she believes in “cutting stuff off at the roots.” Then, Shante shares what she heard and claims Tambra and a man “decided that they want to have babies” as friends.
In response, Tambra reacts immediately and says she does not know Shante. She rejects the claim and questions why someone she has never met is speaking on her life.
Meanwhile, Tambra brings up rumors she heard about Lateshia and Glen, including claims about a threesome and an open marriage. Lateshia shuts this down, saying there is “absolutely no truth” to those claims. Instead, she emphasizes that she is focused on her goals, not rumors.
Selena speaks with Mike about the baby rumor.
Selena meets with Mike and tells him the rumor came up during a group gathering. She notes that Kerri mentioned he had a baby on the way. In response, Mike says he already knew about it and never took it seriously. He also says he found it funny and asked where it came from.
Even though Selena agrees the rumor is false and says they are both still “looking for the baby,” she shifts her focus to how the group handled it. Specifically, she points out that others knew and did not tell her directly.
Because of this, she questions why Kerri knew despite being newer to the group. She says someone had to tell her, and as a result, she feels “a little betrayed” and begins to question the sisterhood.
Latrice updates Cliff on the rumor and addresses issues in their marriage.
Latrice talks to Cliff about their restaurant and says she has handled neighbor complaints herself. She explains she attended a community meeting and presented proof that the business follows its hours.
Although Cliff downplays the situation, Latrice points out that he did not attend the meeting. She says she has been carrying that responsibility. Then, the conversation shifts to the rumor about Mike.
Latrice explains that Kerri mentioned the rumor and questions why Cliff’s name came up. Cliff denies the rumor and says there is no baby. He adds that people are “lying” and trying to involve him.
At the same time, Latrice questions why the rumor is circulating while Selena plans her wedding. She says it feels like an attempt to disrupt her relationship.
Finally, Latrice reveals she has surgery scheduled and says she needs peace. She recalls a past hospital visit and says she felt “abandoned” when Cliff left her alone. Although Cliff pushes back, saying he never left, Latrice maintains that she felt unsupported.
Lateshia presents her talk show pilot to the group.
Lateshia gathers the women and introduces her talk show. She says it is a space “where purpose meets power” and real stories are shared. As the pilot plays, the room stays quiet, which makes Lateshia feel like it is “the longest time” waiting for a reaction.
After the screening, Lateshia brings in Loni Love to give feedback. Loni says she is excited to see a woman of color with her own show. She also notes that Lateshia has “a great voice that needs to be heard.”
In addition, Loni offers constructive feedback, noting that lighting and makeup matter on television. She then advises Lateshia to focus on listening rather than speaking over guests.
Afterward, the group shares feedback. Some say Lateshia is “in her element” and highlight her ability to uplift others. Meanwhile, others point out moments where people spoke at the same time and say she seemed more comfortable as the interview continued.
Selena questions the group, and tensions rise over who spread the rumor.
After the focus group, Selena addresses the group and asks how the rumor spread. Lateshia explains that it started from a social media comment and says she did not bring it into the Collective.
As the women discuss the timeline, they confirm that the rumor has been circulating for about a year. They also confirm it passed through multiple people, including their husbands. Because of this, Selena questions why no one told her earlier and says she cannot “go into this marriage without communication.”
Kerri apologizes and says she brought it up to put everything on the table. She acknowledges it caused hurt. While Selena accepts the apology, she says the larger issue is transparency.
Then, the conversation shifts when Tambra addresses her own situation. She calls out Shante for spreading false information and says the claim that she is planning to have a child with someone is untrue.
In response, the group agrees that people outside the Collective should not influence them. One woman says any “outside noise shouldn’t be there.” Ultimately, the group labels Shante as “outside noise” and moves forward. However, the tension suggests the issue is not fully resolved.
