Why Did I get Married Too?

The highly anticipated sequel to Tyler Perry’s “Why Did I Get Married?” hits theaters April 2.

Finally, the sequel I’ve been waiting for. I can with all honest say the “Why Did I Get Married” series is my favorite silver screening for Tyler Perry. The plot includes our favorite couples from “Why Did I Get Married,” planning their annual couples get away on the island of the Bahamas to reconnect.

To my amazement we find out Sheila’s (Jill Scott) trifling ex-husband Mike (Richard T. Jones) crashes the honeymoon in an effort to gain back her hand in marriage. Too bad she’s still newly eloped with that sexy police officer Troy (Lamman Rucker) who I’m sure won’t give her up without a fight.

New updates are found within the couples with Marcus (Michael Jai White) landing a new celebrity television newscaster job and Angela (Tasha Smith) trippin’ over new suspicions of infidelity. If their feuds are anything like the notorious argument at the dinner table form Part 1, I’m sitting first row on this one.

Dianne (Sharon Leal) and Terry (Tyler Perry) are still dry as bread crust and still exhibiting issues surrounding their children. With Dianne having her tubes tied previously how can you really bounce back from that?

The characters I’m rooting for the most in this film are self-help psychologist, Patricia (Janet Jackson) and successful architect, Gavin (Malik Yoba). In dealing with the death of a child my hopes are that they overcome that loss, but unfortunately Patricia still has many more deep flaws that will be revealed in this upcoming movie.

I’m expecting so much from this film especially with the zany cast from the first film. I’m so proud of Janet for being able to finish the film in the wake of her brother’s death. She’s very talented and I knew she’d be able to pull through. Shockingly, the spoiler alert from the trailer already reveals two couples will not make it. I’m not sure if that means someone’s going to die or someone’s doing like Usher and signing some papers. All in all I’m ready for the film’s premiere on April 2, of this year.
