Erykah Badu gets charged for “Window Seat.”

The ever so talented Erykah Badu has been charged for the video shoot of the super controversial “Window Seat” video. The multi-platinum soul singer has been charged with a disorderly conduct charge for her nude video shoot that took place in Downtown Dallas.
In the video, Erykah Badu is seen walking down the street while slowly removing articles of clothing. In the final scene, Badu is completely nude and fatally shot in the same place that President Kennedy was assassinated in 1963.
According to officials, the charge is a result from the sworn statement of eyewitness Ida Espinosa.
Sgt. Warren Mitchell said the following of the incident:
“Having a fact witness that was there is what let us file the charges. After
much discussion, we feel that these charges best fit her conduct. She disrobed
in a public place without regard to individuals and small children who were
close by.”
Mitchell also said that he had people calling from all across the country to express their concern about Erykah Badu’s controversial video shoot.
According to Mitchell, Badu can fight the charge or simply pay the fine as the citation will be in the mail.
While the singer may have shot the video as artistic expression, she did not have the proper permit to film the video.
I never thought I would see the day that Erykah Badu would need a publicity stunt. I'm so disappointed. What is music coming to?
