It is official, President Obama is the first black President of the United States.
Yes I know I’m a year late, but according to the White House, President Obama has officially claimed that he is indeed a black man.
Although the 44th President was born to a Caucasian mother and a father born in Kenya, he still views himself as a black man. On the 2010 Census Questionnaire, the President proudly checked off “African American.” While he had the option to check off “Some other race” or even both white and black, Obama has chosen to identify himself as an African American on the questionnaire.
