Ludacris is finding much success with his latest hit album “Battle of The Sexes.” One of the reasons the album is fairing so well on the charts is because Ludacris has managed to snag some of hip hop’s hottest female emcees to contribute hot verses to the album. Heavyweights include Eve, Lil’ Kim, Nicki Minaj, and Trina to name a few. Although the album is a certified banger already, can you imagine if the one and only L-Boogie graced the album with her presence?
Well according to Ludacris, that almost happened. Lauryn Hill was one of the rapper’s most wanted female emcees to make a guest appearance on the album, but things just never materialized.
Ludacris says:
“I think Lauryn Hill is like extremely talented and I can say I did try to do that, it just didn’t work itself out.”
While it’s not totally clear why Lauryn Hill didn’t appear for the collab, it is apparent that she should not be counted out just yet. Rumor has it L-Boggie is working on a return to music, and this past weekend she made an appearance at the Tanzania Education Trust New York Gala in New York. As most know, Hill isn’t too big on making appearances. Sounds like she really is making a comeback.
And by the looks of things, a new Lauryn Hill album is long overdue.
