‘Air Jordan’ Goes In On LeBron James Again

By: Taren Vaughan

It’s becoming quite clear that “His Airness” has a lot to say concerning LeBron James. Basketball legend Michael Jordan has yet again commented on LBJ’s recent move to Miami. Not only has he said that he thinks Kobe Bryant is better than James, but he has gone on to criticize the fact that James rallied together with other superstars to form a team. Here’s what he had to say on the matter:

“There’s no way, with hindsight, I would’ve ever called up Larry [Bird], called up Magic [Johnson] and said, ‘Hey, look, let’s get together and play on one team,’” –Michael Jordan

Oh, it doesn’t stop there. “Sir Charles” put his two cents in as well:

“He’ll never be Jordan,” Barkley told 790 The Ticket in Miami earlier in the week. This clearly takes him out of the conversation. He can win as much as he wants to. There would have been something honorable about staying in Cleveland and trying to win it as ‘The Man’ … LeBron, if he would’ve in Cleveland, and if he could’ve got a championship there, it would have been over the top for his legacy, just one in Cleveland. No matter how many he wins in Miami, it clearly is Dwyane Wade’s team.” –Charles Barkley

Do they have a point? Is LeBron taking away from his legacy by trying to build a super trio with the Heat? Or has everybody just joined the “Say No To LeBron” bandwagon? There is some truth to these statements. But I must say, it does seem like Michael Jordan has been going in on “King James” quite a bit here lately. Then again, he could really just be stating his opinion with a neutral mindset. What do you think?

  1. Who cares? Why be like Mike if you can establish your own legacy? Why does every ball player strive to be like MJ? Just play the game and establish your own legacy. To hell with everything else.

  2. I wish they would all get of his nuts! I guess that is why he is the KING. Even the GREATEST can't stop talking about him. No championship, and yet he stays on everyone's mind.
