Five easy ways to increase your “kiss-ability”
By: Taren Vaughan
Although having sex is the closest physical form of contact that you can have with a person, kissing is one of the most intimate things that you can do with a person. And to be quite honest, it is the one thing that can make or break your attraction to someone. A kiss could come when you least expect it. With that in mind, here are some ways to ensure that you won’t get shut down when you go in for the kill:
Brush Your Teeth
As crazy as it may sound to even have this on the list, trust it has a needed place. Brushing your teeth should be a part of everyone’s daily routine. But unfortunately, some people tend to skip this part and or don’t do it enough. It is recommended that we brush our teeth a total of three times a day. And for most people, that three times a day usually only adds up to two: once in the morning and once at night. When it comes to kissing, it may not be a bad idea to squeeze in that extra time with your toothbrush. Throw in flossing to that equation and you’re good to go.
Wet Those Lips
Aside from having foul breath and a mouth full of yellow teeth, having chapped lips can be a sure fire way to keep you from getting that good night kiss that you were hoping for. Be sure to always keep them moisturized in some way throughout the day to prevent cracking and peeling. Keep a tube of lip balm, Chap Stick or any other kind of moisturizers for your mouth handy at all times. Unlike brushing your teeth, you don’t need running water and a sink to handle a case of chapped lips. That problem can be resolved with the quickness wherever you are.
Keep A Stash Of Breath Mints
Considering the fact that you never know how your night will end, keeping some mints or candy in your pocket will keep your mouth fresh and ready for a kiss at any moment. Chewing gum will make things a little too complex. Having to take the time to spit it out can kill your kissable moment. Mints and candy are easy handle and don’t take much time at all to get rid of. Just a simple chew and swallow and they’re gone. Keep a couple of them on deck and your night will probably turn out well.
Remain “Smoke-less”
Not only is smoking often viewed as an unattractive activity to partake in. It can cause you to have an extreme case of bad breath. Chewing tobacco and snuff can have similar affects on the health of a person’s mouth too so push those things aside as well. And let’s not forget how doing them for an extended period of time can cause your teeth to turn colors. The appearance of your mouth and the lingering smell that comes along with avid smokers can be a huge turnoff. Chances are you won’t have to worry about anyone sneaking one in on you. Say no to the squares or look forward to a “kiss-less” evening.
Stay Stress Free
Despite what many may think, a bad case of halitosis is not only caused by a few bacteria running crazy in your mouth. Being stressed out can cause a person to have bad breath without putting a single piece of food into their mouths. Physical stresses on your body such as dehydration and fatigue can also lead to unpleasant mouth odors. Doing things that are relaxing to both your mind and body will keep your stress level down thus leaving you with a fresh mouth.
Before you go in for that good night kiss, make sure that you have covered these bases first. And by all means, make sure the person you are about to kiss has done the same. If not, things could get pretty nasty, literally.
