Girls Gone Wild? Are They Really That Out Of Control Or Just Crave Attention?

Are these girls really that out of control or are they just attention hungry?

The life of a celebrity’s daughter: What a life to live. Having the chance to mingle with the stars of Hollywood, taking trips out of the country for weeks at a time and getting bought basically any and everything that your heart desires. Who could ask for anything more? Even though this may seem like enough to keep a child with parents who make millions of dollars and have household names happy, some of them want to make their own names known. And are willing to do whatever it takes to reach that goal, including becoming the new face of adult films. Is it that they are willing to do just about anything that it takes to get that star attention? Or are they just that wild and out of control, no strings attached?

This question stems from the incident involving Montana Fishburne and the infamous sex tape that she launched a few months ago. Many wondered what her motives were for doing it and she was very vocal about her love for sex and infatuation with the industry.

Her love for sex and its “possibilities”:

“I think it was just wanting to explore sexuality,” she goes on. “I know it’s such a big world I was just like, wow, well since I like sex. . .I wanted to see everything that I would like, every kind of fantasy I would like and porn is a way that I could explore that.”

Okay, most people with a pulse like to have sex but does it have to be done for the whole world to see?

She also went on to say that she would rather become a porn star instead of a credible actor like her father, Laurence Fishburne:

“I wasn’t really into mainstream acting…I knew I wanted to do adult [films].”

No academy award nominations for you Montana. Doubt she cares too much though seeing as though she had her eyes set on becoming a breakout porno star. We could easily blame Kim Kardashian for making this the “in thing” to do when it comes to getting your chance to grace the red carpet, being invited to hundreds of celebrity parties and events, and becoming a “high profile” individual.

Now all of the girls coming after her feel like they can pull a “Kim K.” and claim celebrity status within months. Hmm, doesn’t really work that way for most people. Luck was what got Kim Kardashian to where she is now, not talent.

Not much longer after Montana Fishburne’s “one shining moment”, another celebrity daughter has gotten a little out of hand in the front of the public eye. Only she is doing it with her clothes on. Singers Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown’s daughter Bobbi Kristina was recently caught straddling a young Brad Pitt and getting extra friendly with a pair of girls. Let’s not forget that she has been caught on several occassions smoking cigarettes and throwing back the now forbidden Four Loko drinks. Now Bobbi Kristina does not appear to be on her way to Pornville anytime soon. But she does seem to be very carefree about the things that she does, some of which could led to some of the same habits that both her parents had a time dealing with. And has no problem with people catching it on camera.

I’m sorry but sometimes it’s really hard for me to believe that these young women, along with all the other “rambunctious” celebrity sons and daughters out there are really this out of control. Can they think it’s okay to act this way? True, some of them are just as troublesome as they appear to be. But a lot of it comes from them wanting the fame that their parents have achieved.

To Montana, your father is one of the best black male actors in the game period. And his success didn’t come overnight. It’s easy to take your clothes off in front of thousands of people but how about we try to take the classier approach to find our way to the celebrity seat. And to Bobbi Kristina, no you are not on your way to becoming a porn star but you surely aren’t carrying yourself like a lady when everyone is looking.

The one thing that they both seem to lose sight of is the work that their parents put in to reach their level of success. And yes, they may get that chance to shine and become more than just the offspring of star parents. But if they have to sacrifice their self-respect to get to that point, what real value does their “fame” hold?

  1. I'm sure they will look back and realize that it was all a mistake. I don't care if you are a celebrity's kid or not, controlling yourself and having some sort of class in the public eye is something that everyone should at least try to do. I only hope that these girls, and girls who are thinking about pulling the same stunts that they did, will quickly realize that this is not the way to go.
