We want to know your thoughts on the controversy between Black Women and obesity.

More Black Women seem to be confident in their skin then ever before. It’s to the point where other people believe that they want to be fat and obese. From women getting butt injections in back alleys (word to Kim K.) to many videos and pictures, that are Photoshoped, showing women with full-figured curves, it seems that those beliefs are true.
Even major publications feel that black women want to be fat.
Alice Randall, the author, behind the Black Women and Fat article believes that “…we need is a body-culture revolution in black America.”
She feels Black Women use their curvy shapes and butts to keep their boyfriends and husbands happy. Randall writes,
How many middle-aged white women fear their husbands will find them less attractive if their weight drops to less than 200 pounds? I have yet to meet one.
[A] friend… told me that her husband, also a tenured professor and of color, begged her not to lose the sugar down below’ when she embarked on a weight-loss program.
So readers, let us know; do you all feel that Black Women WANT to be fat? If so, is it to make themselves more attractive to black men, who have a reputation of appreciating obesity over stick-figures?
