The Leader of the Black Hebrews in Durham, North Carolina killed a four-year old boy because he thought the boy was gay. He also killed the boy’s mother because he thought she would tell authorities.

A four-year old and his mother were murdered in Durham, North Carolina by Peter Lucas Moses, the leader of a religious sect known as the Black Hebrews.
According to CBS Charlotte:
Peter Lucas Moses pleaded guilty Monday to two counts of first-degree murder in the deaths of 4-year-old Jadon Higganbothan and 28-year-old Antoinetta Yvonne McKoy.
The plea will allow the 27-year-old Moses to avoid the death penalty in exchange for his testimony against others charged, including his mother, brother and sister. Higganbothan’s mother is also charged.
Prosecutors say Moses shot the boy [in October 2010] because he thought he was gay and then killed McKoy because he feared she would tell police.
Prosecutors said in court that Moses became concerned that Jadon had touched one of his sons inappropriately, and they said that he took Jadon to the garage and shot him.The informant also told police that Moses ordered that McKoy be killed two months later when he learned she couldn’t have children and wanted to leave the group. Prosecutors said she was forced back inside the house as she tried to run away and was later killed in a bathroom.
The bodies of Higganbothan and McKoy were found last June buried behind a house on Ashe Street in Durham where Moses’ mother, Sheilda Harris, used to live. Both had been shot in the head, according to autopsy reports.
“Me and my family wanted the death penalty… noting that he initially agreed to the deal but later told prosecutors he had changed his mind. I’m really not OK with it at all.”
This is just sad…..
Furthermore, something doesn’t sit right with me when it comes to the “justice” system. You have people that admit to murder and are given deals that spare their lives, yet potentially innocent inmates are killed for crimes of which there is insufficient evidence and no confession. I don’t get it. God bless America.
