R Kelly Speaks On Sex Allegations In Tell-All Book

Ten years after the infamous sex tape was released, R. Kelly is about to come forward about his troubled past in a tell-all memoir.

R. Kelly is the undisputed King of R&B as many music heads see it. And he has been holding it down ever since his debut back in the early ‘90’s. As he earned his rightful spot on the list of music legends, his supposed debut into another industry made people put his musical talents on the back burner. Faced with 21 counts of child pornography after a sex tape leaked with him allegedly urinating on and having sex with a female minor, we heard Kelly repeatedly deny the claims and he was later found not guilty of the charges.

Even with the dropping of the charges, some fans have never been able to look at him the same, vowing to never support him or his music again period. With fans and critics siding against him, Kelly still maintained musically, joining forces with the likes of songwriter/singer Keri Hilson and a list of other notables in addition to serving as the mentor for R&B singer K. Michelle.

The sex scandal that nearly ruined Kelly’s career surfaced many years ago. But now the 45-year-old singer is on his way to releasing a tell-all memoir that goes into detail about his music career and troubling past, one that he hadn’t spoken deeply about until now.

Hit producer L.A. Reid has already caught a glimpse of the book titled Soulacoaster: The Diary of Me. And he told AllHipHop.com that Kelly will definitely have readers’ attention with this one:

“In the tradition of legendary soul singer/songwriters, R. Kelly has defined his own unique style of genius while influencing an entire generation of singers. He is the pure essence of soul, and in Soulacoaster you’ll discover the untold story behind every song.”

The courts may have cleared R. Kelly’s name of the crime. But it’s obvious that he still feels the need to explain himself and set the record straight.

Soulacoaster: The Diary of Me is set to be released on June 28.

  1. I really need Kellz to sit down. I don’t want to read about him sleeping with little girls, peeing on them, and making videos of it. Get back to the music.
