Nicki Minaj may be one of the most successful female rappers of all time, but that doesn’t mean everyone has to like her. And she may be loveable to her fans, but as of late, other music artists and influential people in the business are running out of nice things to say about the Head Barbie. As we recently reported, the Young Money star has been accused and outed on Twitter by a fellow performer for acting like a b-tch back stage and having ridiculous demands for concert workers. But now it’s been revealed that there may be a bigger reason behind Nicki’s ridiculous wardrobe choices, as the latest gossip claims Nicki Minaj was allegedly blacklisted by several big time fashion designers. Besides her alleged nasty attitude, she’s also been said to have stolen a design idea from a top designer. And the fashion heavyweights are pissed. Here’s what HollywoodDame.com says:
“The pop star who was blackballed by several designers is Nicki Minaj. Jeremy Scott will happily dress her, but she has made some enemies. Minaj created a dress that was basically a style jacked version that Jessica Rogers of SomedayNewYorker had concocted. She wore the dress the dress to fashion week, stole the designer’s original coined term for the fashion statement, “Puff Balls,” and took credit for the idea. Nicki has denied the style stealing, but this is an unfortunate common practice.”
And if things couldn’t get any worse for Nicki Minaj, the gossip addicts are saying the female rapper was also booed during her latest concert (T in the Park), the same concert that she’s accused of acting so snotty backstage that she turned everyone from the other artists performing to the concert staff off completely. Here’s what The Sun is reporting:
Nicki Minaj went above and beyond what is deemed acceptable at T In The Park this weekend.
She complained the grass around her dressing room was too long and demanded it was cut.
A source said: “Nicki went off on one about the grass around her area, saying it was far too long for her to walk on.
“She threw a complete strop, pouting and pointing and asking someone to get a lawnmower to sort it out.”
It’s not the first time she has barked the same order.
She got staff at Radio 1 to tidy the lawn around her dressing room at the Hackney Weekend two weeks ago.
If the singer — real name Onika Tanya Maraj — spent less time worrying about gardening and more about her performance then she might have made it on stage on time.
She eventually came on 50 minutes late and stayed for just half an hour.
The no-nonsense Scottish crowd were never going to put up with that — no matter how incredible her bottom is — and booed her after every song.
Some were so fed up they left and went to see Reverend And The Makers on a different stage.
It’s somewhat normal for newer artists to get the big head when success starts to become normal to them, but if Nicki Minaj doesn’t want to end up as washed up as the other female rappers she disses on a regular basis, she just might want to humble herself quickly. Nothing cuts careers shorter than nasty attitudes.
I’m hearing more and more about Nicki having a stank attitude. I guess I shouldn’t be too surprised considering how nasty she acted towards Kim but she really needs to chill because just as quick as you go up, you can come down. Most people won’t have longevity in the business, so she needs to try to make sure she doesn’t burn any bridges. I’m sure connections help keep people relevant after so many years. She’s going to lose some acting this way.
Her record sales aren’t stellar right now either. And it begins, the demise of the fake female rapper. I knew she’d end up making bad with the wrong people. Her arrogance is beyond intolerable especially when her talent isn’t that great to begin with.
Hmm…I think she’ll be alright. I’m a Kim fan all the way but Nicki ain’t the worst attitude in the business. Trust. She’ll be humbled eventually and get back to being the Nicki everyone loved. Everybody gets a big head until it’s popped down to size. Can’t knock her…yet.
I guess she really thinks she’s talented. Sigh…
Has anyone seen her UStream? Chile please. Nicki’s been a DIVA. She ain’t gonna change and she’s not worried about the criticisms. Until it hurts her pockets, she’s going to be a monster away from the cameras and behind the stage.
This is the typical celebrity complex. When you have people treat you like a god all day (fans), you eventually start to believe your own hype. But it’s a tough business and Nicki’s reign will end eventually. She’s not talented enough to avoid the inevitable.
How the hell do you command the grass be cut during a concert? LOL, Nicki is a mess.
I don’t really see a problem here. Nicki is a celeb and all celebs have over the top demands during their concerts. She’s only being called out because everyone else is mad their faves are flopping. I get it, and yes, I understand. Meanwhile my chick will continue to slay your faves and Lil Kim’s ole bumblee looking a– every time she breaks more records. 😉
This chick is having people pushed out the way so she can walk through and grass cut to her liking before her performance? She is really full of herself. Barbee you’d have to be a stan to dismiss that kind of behavior. SMDH!
Nicki Minaj is Bi-Polar. I had a female friend that used to style her when she was first comin’ out. My friend used to come to the boutique in NYC in the Village that she pulled clothes from for Nicki to wear, and she complained about Nicki’s attitude EVERY time she came into the store. She would literally be stressed out with her head in her hands! I asked her what was wrong, and she said, “This b—h, Nicki Minaj is drivin’ me crazy”! She said Nicki would FLIP OUT on her over stupid stuff, and then the next day, Nicki would act like it never even happened, and be like, “Hey girl, what’s up”? Nicki Minaj would literally forget that she cursed my friend out the day before! My friend worked so hard for her, and Nicki did’nt appreciate none of it! One day, my friend got so fed up, she QUIT! She just wanted to get away from Nicki for good….
