The Young Jeezy and Gucci Mane Beef Escalates, Keyshia Cole Goes Off

By: Taren Vaughan

Keyshia Cole get caught up in Young Jeezy and Gucci Mane beef? Young Jeezy has been all over the media for the past few weeks after his altercation with Rick Ross backstage at this year’s BET Hip-Hop Awards.  According to various reports, the brawl reportedly resulted in gun shots being fired in the parking lot, though the network claimed that those reports were inaccurate. Those who were at the awards show however said that the incident was not that deep, the aftermath of it though has sparked some Hip-Hop Twitter beefs involving 50 Cent and French Montana, Rick Ross adding his two cents in. Now it seems as if the backstage scuffle that took place between Rick Ross and Young Jeezy has added fuel to the ongoing beef that he has with Rapper Gucci Mane.

For those who missed it, Young Jeezy and Gucci Mane’s beef first started years ago when Gucci Mane accused Jeezy of putting a hit out on him and sending one of his homeboys to kill him. Unfortunately for Jeezy’s homie, Gucci shot and killed him after he broke into Gucci’s home to get him. Gucci was arrested as a result but was later acquitted when it was determined that he acted out of self defense. This past week, the beef has reignited as both of the Atlanta rappers went on interviews, Gucci Mane being the first to do his with Power 105’s The Breakfast Club and he was asked about the Rick Ross Jeezy fight. And in his response, he made it clear that he and Young Jeezy are not cool:

“It’s just respect, walk over here it’s going to be some problem,”

“Ross is a friend of mine, of course Jeezy is not, so I don’t care nothin’ about what happened to him,”

And that he has not an ounce of respect for him:

“I don’t got no respect for him,”

“I done did what I had to do.”

In his interview with Power 106, Young Jeezy spoke his mind on the beef with Gucci but not before he addressed what really went down between him and Rick Ross:

“I mean first of all, it was a great awards show. I mean basically, it was just a good show. I went there, got out with Wiz, it was cool, we did our thing,” he said. “So in the hallway, we’re walking out whatever whatever. So me and him never really seen each other face to face before, and I just felt like he spoke, I spoke, and that was basically it. But at the end of the day, it’s been going on for a while so I just felt like if it was to be handled, it should have been handled there. We either gon’ get past it or keep moving. So in my words, I just feel like a lot of these cats are actor rappers. And I’m Jeezy – they could never be me. That’s just pretty much that.

“At the end of the day, I refuse to be part of this WWF propaganda and B.S. to sell records,” he continued. “If that’s who you want to be, you want to be a tough guy, you be that way. I’m a boss, I’m a G. That’s just how it is.”

And he takes a few shots at Gucci too, making it clear that the feeling is mutual:

“I mean, I feel like everybody know that boy retarded, nobody take him seriously. He got an ice cream cone on his face. That being said, I’m not going back. I’m going forward. And then it’s crazy because they’ll call you and want you on a song. And then when you don’t get on a song, that’s what happens. Of course [he called me]. He called me a few times. I just said it wasn’t a good idea. We past that. I don’t want to go backwards. He reached out a few times and I didn’t do the record, so I guess he feel a way. He didn’t take his medicine that day. Shortbus shorty.”

Gucci has yet to stop coming for Jeezy post interview as he took to his Twitter account to come at the Snowman again and T.I. too:

Rapper Alley Boy, another Atlanta rapper,  jumps in on the diss fest too:

Rick Ross has obviously picked whose side he is on in the matter:

While we thought Jeezy and Gucci buried their beef, it looks like it is official back on again. And this Gucci diss track, may be involving some other artists in the industry too.

Peep Gucci Mane’s latest track “Truth” where Gucci takes a swipe at Jeezy and T.I., Keyshia Cole’s name getting thrown in the mix, Gucci accusing Keyshia of cheating on Jeezy with Diddy while the two dated. Keyshia quickly addressed the claim on her Twitter account, saying that Gucci was lying on her:

Gucci says in the track that it isn’t a diss record by the way:

  1. That’s ridiculous. Both of these MEN need to act their age. They are both damn near 40 still having rap beefs. Sadly, one of them is probably going to end up real hurt or dead. But don’t bring Keyshia into this childishness. She’s a married woman with a child. They should show some damn respect!

  2. Why are people still doing rap beefs in 2012? Have they not learned from Biggie and 2Pac? This is stupid. Jeezy already showed Gucci once that he would put a hit out on him. Just drop it Gucci before his next hit is a success.

  3. These two idiots just won’t stop until one or both of them end up dead. And over what exactly? A rap beef. Sad to see grown men be so foolish.

  4. LOL at him calling Gucci retarded. Man, Jeezy is rude as hell. Honestly, I prefer Gucci over Jeezy. Jeezy seems real catty to me.

  5. I agree…they both are a little too old for rap beefs. Since both of them are street dudes, I expect this to end up in a death this time.

  6. All I can do is shake my head at these two sad grown men. And honestly, I haven’t liked Jeezy since it got out that he put an actual hit out on Gucci. He’s heartless and real shady to do something like that over a rap beef.
