Bobbi Kristina and Nick Gordon’s relationship continues to cause controversy in the Houston family. Although the rep for the couple denied claims that the two are engaged, it has been confirmed that they might have been at some point, as Bobbi Kristina announces the engagement on an episode of their upcoming reality show. Nick Gordon and Bobbi Kristina are not related, but it has been reported that Gordon is actually Bobbi Kristina’s god brother. The timing of the relationship has caused many red flags to raise for the Houston family, and has even caused Cissy Houston to request that Bobbi Kristina’s inheritance payment schedule be changed to a later date. According to the court documents filed, Cissy seems to think that Nick Gordon is just after Bobbi’s inheritance, and the daughter of Whitney Houston is just too emotionally vulnerable to see it.
Although the upcoming reality show is supposed to feature several members of the family, in addition to Bobbi Kristina and Nick Gordon; it’s been revealed that many of them are furious that anyone in the family has agreed to take part in the reality show.
According to InTouch Weekly:
Family members have made it clear that when Bobbi Kristina Brown’s reality show, The Houstons: On Their Own, premieres on Oct. 24., they will not be tuning in.
“Bobbi is just like Whitney — she’s stubborn and won’t let anyone help her,” a family insider tells the new issue of In Touch, on newsstands now. “She’s resentful that her mother was taken from her. She doesn’t feel close to anyone in her family anymore. She’s lost.”
Dionne Warwick, Whitney’s cousin, tells In Touch bluntly, “No,” she will not be tuning in to the reality show.
And as far as Bobbi Kristina’s rumored engagement to her honorary brother, Nick Gordon, Dionne replied, “I don’t know anything about her recent engagement.”
Bobbi Kristina’s Uncle Gary shares the same sentiments, “How do you go from brother to being her boyfriend?” Gary asks. “I hope she’s not grieving in the wrong way.”
