Nicki Minaj Accused of Acting Like a Diva Again on Video Shoot

Nicki Minaj has been accused of being a diva since she blew up on the Hip Hop and eventually Pop music scenes. The Young Money superstar has created quite the empire in a rather short time span, and it’s clear that it’s nothing more than impeccable that she’s managed to build such a huge and dedicated fan base in such a short amount of time. Nicki Minaj has achieved quite a lot for a female rapper, and she continues to add to her growing resume. But it’s her recent accomplishment  as an American Idol judge that would add some chatter to the diva talks, as many have already speculated that Nicki is a bit of a diva to work with. After it was reported that Nicki and fellow American Idol judge Mariah Carey did not seem to get along (this was eventually stirred further with a video of Nicki cursing out Mariah), Nicki didn’t help matters when she went after Mariah on her Twitter account. And not to mention, Nicki’s new reality special Nicki Minaj: My Truth,  a E! Network special, has critics slamming her for what they perceive as over the top diva antics.

Another report claims that Nicki is still at the rude and diva like antics, as they claim she was incredibly hard to work with on the set of a music video shoot. Insiders claim that Nicki made incredibly inconvenient demands for her own team and assistant, therefore getting on the nerves of those involved with production.

Metro reports:

Nicki Minaj allegedly refused to walk on a shingle beach during a recent video shoot because it ‘hurt her feet’ and ordered an assistant to drive 20 miles to buy her a KFC.

Instead of walking on the beach, the 27-year-old rapper reportedly had an assistant drive her along Dungeness Nature Reserve instead.

She is said to have also ordered one of them to drive 32km (20 miles) from the Kent beach to fetch a KFC. Another was told to ask residents for an iron at dawn last Thursday.

‘It was a stinker of a morning,’ site manager Owen Leyshon said. Production company Luti Media apologised for any inconvenience.

To Nicki’s defense, I don’t think she’s trying to hide the fact that she can be a bit of a diva while working. She seems to be quite aware of it on her show and even mentions that she thinks most of it is due to anxiety. And she did say during her reality show that Mariah Carey (a certified industry diva), has met her match.
