Kenya Moore has been apparently thrown under a bus ever since Walter told Atlanta radio station V-103 that he was only on Real Housewives of Atlanta because Kenya asked him to pretend to be her boyfriend. The alleged fake relationship’s cover was blown when Walter’s real relationship was exposed in a series of Instagram photos. Turns out, Walter is currently romantically involved with an up and coming singer in Atlanta. Walter claims he hasn’t been romantically linked to Kenya in three years, and that they only dated for three months due to the relationship being a  long distance one that lacked any spark.

It should come as no surprise that Kenya is embarrassed by the situation, but she still denies that there is any truth to Walter’s allegations. The other day she took to her Twitter account to completely deny the claims and she claimed that Walter had a hidden agenda and only says these things because he wants the attention. She promised to release a statement that would go into more detail about what she says really happened and she has done so early Wednesday morning.

In the statement she released to Too Fab and Wendy Williams, Kenya says:

“The truth is and has always been that I want to be in a loving, honest, long-term relationship with someone who genuinely loves me for me — Walter’s recent statements are completely false. I am embarrassed that I allowed a deceitful and hateful person in my life. He says he ‘did it for fame.’

“I’ve been humiliated enough by appearing desperate for a man to marry me who now admits he had his own agenda. I urge viewers to stay tuned because the truth will come to light. I am moving on from this situation and hope he can as well with respect and dignity going forward. I have heard the fans and my friends loud and clear … I can do better than Walter, and I will.”

I worked in Public Relations for a few years, and this sounds like nothing more than a spin written by Kenya’s Publicist. Walter was clear in the interview that he took Kenya up on the offer to fake the relationship because he figured he might as well “get his 15 minutes of fame.” He was honest about that and I think he’s being honest about what happened between the both of them, especially since they had absolutely no chemistry on the show and rumors suggest that Kenya needed to have a relationship to even get on the show. Every woman so far on the series has had a relationship, rather they were married or dating, or even having an affair with a married man. So I think there’s some truth to the rumor.

But what do you think? Who’s lying, Kenya or Walter?

  1. This whole thing is crazy. Man, Kenya looks so bad right now. Not only did she beg him to marry her on TV, but now she begged him to go on the show and fake like he was with her. Sad.

  2. Nah bish, you’re been ousted and there’s nothing you can say to change it. If you’re so successful, why be so desperate to get on RHOA?!

  3. Kenya is a damn lie! I believe EVERYTHING Walter has said about their “relationship”. You can tell on the show they have no chemistry and that he’s not interested in her. And I knew something wasn’t right with them when she was backin that azz up on Peter and Walter wasn’t trippin! She need to have a seat and quit being thirsty for a man!
