Beyonce just wrapped up her press conference for the upcoming Super Bowl performance that she’s been rehearsing long hours for and finally, she has directly addressed the whole “lip syncing” scandal. As we told you recently, it was already evident through video from her performance at the Inauguration that she didn’t technically lip sync. She actually just sang over the prerecorded track. Regardless, the mainstream media continues to claim she lip synced, and Beyonce made it clear on her Instagram account that she thought all the controversy was uncalled for. Well now the singer is telling her side to the story and just as we reported, the singer confirmed that she actually sang over the prerecorded track, something that has been done numerous times in the industry by many singers before her.
Beyonce decided to confront her critics with her talent and sang a beautiful live version of the National Anthem.
Peep her performance at the press conference below:
In addition to singing the anthem live for reporters, Beyonce also explained what happened at the Inauguration. The singer confirmed she sang over the prerecorded track, but says despite all the criticism, she is still very proud of her performance. And Beyonce also said with a huge smile that she “loves” haters.
“I am a perfectionist and one thing about me, I practice until my feet bleed, and I did not have time to rehearse with the orchestra. It was a live television show and a very, very important emotional show for me. One of my proudest moments.
“Due to the weather, due to the delay, due to no proper sound check, I did not feel comfortable taking a risk. It was about the president and the inauguration and I wanted to make him and my country proud. So I decided to sing along with my pre-recorded track, which is very common in the music industry, and I’m very proud of my performance.”
Beyonce also confirmed that she will be singing live during her Super Bowl performance, since it’s “something she was born to do.”
Despite numerous false reports that Beyonce was “depressed” about the backlash, we have to say she was glowing throughout the entire press conference. She didn’t look down in the dumps to us.
Check out Beyonce addressing the lip syncing fiasco and how much she loves her haters below:
YASSSS! I love how she really doesn’t let people bring her down! I’m ready for the SB!
This is why I’m #Beyhive baby.
I’m satisfied. But then again, I thought the backlash was dumb as hell to begin with.
She should’ve dropped the mic and danced off the stage to Kool Mo Dee’s “How Ya Like Me Now!”
She sounded great. It’s time to move on now.
Welp, this is why I rock with Beyonce. She better werk that stage on Sunday.
Great job by Beyonce at this interview. She really is coming off as humble yet in charge!
Hey Wendy, whatcha gon’ say now bout this sweetheart?
Oh she’ll find something. Bitter, ugly, hateful people always do.
This entire thing was silly. These haters need to get a dang life.
KING BEY. Enough said. If you still got something negative to say, it’s clear you’re just hating. This should have never been an issue to begin with. Move on bitter people!
Exactly!!! Thank you Beyonce!!! Can everyone shut the hell up now… Beyonce has more than proved her worth!!
