Michelle Williams just wrapped up another huge accomplishment in her career. She joined her former Destiny’s Child group members Kelly Rowland and Beyonce on stage for the Super Bowl halftime show. As great as the moment was for her, it was quickly overshadowed by some snide remarks made on Twitter by Keyshia Cole. Keyshia made it clear that she thought Michelle wasn’t as great of a performer as Beyonce and Kelly are, and refused to back down from her statements. Michelle didn’t allow Keyshia’s comments to get to her, but stated that she felt it was important for women to start supporting each other.
Well it looks like Michelle Williams has more good news. Entertainment One Television just confirmed that Michelle has a new reality show on the way. According to the press release, the new show, “My Sister’s Keeper,” will follow Michelle’s life as an actress, a singer who is in the process of recording another gospel album through eOne Music, and her family life which includes a close bond with her sisters.
eOne Senior Vice President Tara Long says:
“We’re very excited to expand upon our relationship with Michelle on this new collaboration that will provide fans with a peek into her everyday life. eOne’s versatility across all pillars of entertainment from music, film and television through development, production and distribution enables us to offer comprehensive multi-platform opportunities for our partners.”
Michelle also expressed her excitement from landing her own reality show, and sees the show as an opportunity to reveal more of herself to her fans:
“I am very thrilled about this opportunity, to extend into television with the eOne family as well, with this series. Working together on my new gospel album and television series, I am excited to share with everyone a behind-the-scenes look at the inspiration and journey of recording for the album, performing, fun family times and other unforgettable experiences out together with my dear sisters.”
Congrats to Michelle.
