Rapper and Maybach Music Founder Rick Ross has had a crazy last couple of months.  He’s been the target of several video threats made by members of notorious street gang Gangster Disciples, and had to reportedly cancel some of his shows due to his beef with the street organization. Although Rick Ross tried to save face and said in an interview that he didn’t cancel the shows due to the gang threats and he wasn’t at all worried about the videos being made, it appears that the rapper may have made matters worse for his situation when he told a radio station that he couldn’t take the threats seriously because “real gangstas move in silence.” Not too long after those comments made by Rick Ross, the rapper was a target of a failed drive by shooting incident.

As a result of the shooting, Ross has been forced to hire more security. He even told MTV News recently that the situation has caused him to take his safety more serious. Despite all of that, he still managed to rap about the situation in a recent remix to Young Scooter’s “Columbia.”

In Rick Ross’ verse, despite the fact that reports say he tried to flee away from the bullets and crashed into a building, the rapper claims he was ready for the drive by shooting.

He raps:

“Chickens like the Wing Stop/ N*gga tried to kill me, but I had the thing cocked.

“They think I know the voodoo/How they keep showing my Ghost on that Channel 2.”

It appears that the drive by shooting hasn’t caused Rick Ross to reconsider his “fake gangsta” image.
