Rohan Marley Blames Himself for Split with Lauryn Hill

Lauryn Hill and Rohan Marley dated for ten years. Although both cared for each other very much, their romance was pretty controversial considering that Rohan was reportedly a married man at the time. To make matters worse, Lauryn’s former group member Wyclef Jean recently came forward and claimed that Lauryn made him think that Rohan’s baby was his the majority of her pregnancy. Of course Wyclef’s motives were questioned considering that he was also promoting his book at the time he made the allegations, and it didn’t take long for Rohan Marley to clap back and put him in his place for talking nasty about his former love.

Lauryn and Rohan split sometime in 2011, but they managed to have five children together before they ended their romance. In a recent interview with OPEN Magazine, he claims that he feels he is the cause of their demise.  He stated that he feels he didn’t show Lauryn enough love while they were together.

Rohan says:

“I feel sad that I loved her so much and I faltered in expressing it to her somehow. It was my fault that she did not understand how I felt, and it was sad that we did not work out in that relationship sense. I was heartbroken for a long time.”

 

It was also reported sometime last year that he had gotten engaged to Brazilian model Isabeli Fontana. However, Rohan confirms that relationship has ended as well:

“But that too did not work out. Now, I am just engaged to myself,” he says with a laugh, “It is tough, but we are not to ask ourselves, ‘Could you be loved?’ but to say, ‘Yes, I am loved’.”
