La La and Carmelo Anthony’s marriage came under plenty of scrutiny when rumors began to suggest that the couple was having problems in their marriage. Some reports even suggest they just spent too much time apart for career purposes, and as a result, things had gotten so bad reportedly that La La decided to move out and live with a girlfriend. It was also speculated that La La and Carmelo were even heading for a divorce, so when things popped off on the court between Carmelo and Kevin Garnett, it didn’t seem far-fetched that he might have said something insulting to Carmelo about La La to cause him to go off.
It was reported that Kevin Garnett told Carmelo that La La “tastes like Honey Nut Cheerios,” and it made the basketball player so angry that he waited for him after the game to confront him.
But now La La says in a recent interview with Sirius XM’s “Ear Candy” that those comments never happened.
She says:
“I had to be able to laugh about it because that one was a little…really crazy.
“Someone saying, ‘Oh your wife tastes like Honey Nut Cheerios’ and everyone believing that and running with it. That’s not what was said. Kevin Garnett did not say that about me. He just said some things to my husband that he didn’t like that he felt like one man doesn’t say to another.”
La La says despite what was said on the court that day, Carmelo and Kevin are past it:
“They’re perfectly fine now. It happens in the heat of battle. People don’t know what goes on, on that court.”
And when it comes to the state of her marriage with Carmelo, she insists that things are good. She even says that they don’t have a prefect marriage but they continue to get through their issues:
“We’re doing great. We’ve been together for 10 years. I always say if people tell you their marriage is perfect, they’re lying. We go through ups, we go through downs like anyone else. We work through and we’re doing great. We’re raising an amazing son, Kiyan, who’s about to turn six in a week… We’re working through it and things are good.”
We’re happy to hear that La La and Carmelo are working things out and staying true to their vows.
Well he said something about La La that Melo didn’t like. LOL.

La La is such an attention whore. I’m sure this was just another story line for her dry a-s reality show. I’m sure her BFF Kim taught her some things.
Exactly. I don’t understand why she felt like SHE needed a reality show. I never realized how self-absorbed she is until the show. Oh well.

La La isn’t as bad as Kim tho.
It’s hard for me to take this chick seriously now that she runs around with Kim K. Birds of a feather…
Her reality show is boring. I hope she isn’t using this situation to “spice” it up.
