Beyonce has to be one of the biggest names in music today, but with that kind of success as always comes lots of criticism. She’s posed to have a big year after nailing her performance at the Super Bowl and overcoming the lip sync scandal at the Inauguration, and with her fifth studio album dropping this year; it’s easy to assume why the success won’t be slowing down any time soon. Although the singer attempted to open up a little more through her social network account on Instagram and personal Tumblr blog; she hoped to be even more open for her fans through her HBO documentary Life is But a Dream. But some of her critics didn’t feel the documentary was raw enough and they questioned if Beyonce was even genuine in the film.
Jada Pinkett-Smith recently slammed Beyonce’s critics, and it looks like Ne-Yo is joining her since he had some words for anyone who feels Beyonce has some sort of fake personality.
In a recent interview with Capital FM, the successful songwriter and singer says Beyonce doesn’t put on an act in her interviews and when it comes to her, what you see really is what you get:
“She’s the exact same person she was the first time I met her. She’s super dooper down to earth. A lot of people feel like Beyonce would get on TV and put on a front and try to play it up for the camera – she doesn’t!
“She’s really and truly and genuinely, what you see is what you get. “People need to lay off with all the stupidness that they’re talking about. Who she is, is who you see.”
Ne-Yo also said that Beyonce’s upcoming album is going to be a hit, and the “world is going to love it.”
There’s still no official word yet of when Bey’s new album will drop, but we do know it’s expected to release this year.
In related news, Beyonce and her husband Jay-Z were victims of a huge hacking that involved a long list of big time celebs and political figures. According to multiple reports, some hackers were able to steal personal information belonging to celebs and political figures including Jay-Z, Beyonce, Kim Kardashian, Joe Biden, and Hillary Clinton. The hackers placed the personal information on a website such as social security numbers, phone numbers and credit reports. The LAPD has already began investigating the crime.
I never thought she was fake. She’s just not willing to purposely make herself look stupid or ratchet for some attention. Can’t knock her for that.
Right but they do. Smh.
Business before BS!
You have to be a pretty evil person to post someone’s social security, credit report, and phone number on a website.
Of course Ne-Yo would defend a woman that is paying him boatloads of cash. LOL.
But seriously, Beyonce came off as sincere and genuine in the doc.
She’s smart and gets how the media works. The media will build you up to tear you down. Never give them the ammunition…make them work if they want to destroy you. That’s what Bey does.
Cosign!
These hackers are off the damn chain!!!! Love me some Bey though. She’s not fake, she’s just smart as hell when it comes to the media. Can’t hate on that.
It’s called protecting your brand/ image. In entertainment all you have is your reputation. One thing I have always admired about Beyonce is her professionalism. Lets be honest it’s not a fair playing field in the entertainment business when it comes to black and white celebrities.
Fake? Nope! Smart? Very!
This why I admire her, she knows how to behave…
