Joe Budden Explains Fight with Consequence

As we recently reported, a Joe Budden and Consequence fight went down Tuesday at the filming for the reunion of season three of Love and Hip Hop. Apparently the whole beef between both of the rappers and reality stars pretty much started after both said in interviews that they didn’t want to collaborate on a track together. Joe Budden eventually got tired of the back and forth both were doing in their interviews so he actually decided to confront Consequence at his radio interview for Hot 97. According to Joe Budden and DJ Funkmaster Flex, Consequence snuck a lick while Joe had  his back turned and was walking away, and proceeded to hit him in the back of the head while Joe wasn’t expecting it. However, it’s being reported that Tahiry was walking next to Joe and happened to snuff Consequence before he ran off (yes, he ran away after hitting Joe in the back of the head).

Joe called into Hot 97 on Tuesday and explained what all went down between him and Consequence:

“It was a break. So I grabbed Tahiry because me and her be fiending to smoke a cigarette. So somebody just runs up behind me and hits me in the back of the head…with their hand. So I turned around because i’m thinking this was a girl that did this, maybe upset with something I said during the filming and it’s him [Consequence] running away now. So now he’s far away. Apparently he hit me in the head while I was walking away and Tahiry snuffed him. And then he ran off and then a security guard came and grabbed me up. [begins laughing]

“This is from the Hot 97 footage when I approached him at the station up there.

“So apparently he didn’t like the backlash he received from it and this was his way of saving face.”

 

Joe was still at the taping when he called into Hot 97, and since then it’s been confirmed that after this phone interview, the rapper got into a round two with Consequence. This time Consequence wasn’t so lucky and apparently caught it so bad that the he was asked if he wanted to press charges on Joe. Consequence tried to make light of the situation and said Tahiry hits harder than Joe, but Joe is daring him to post a picture of his face to Twitter. Consequence hasn’t posted a picture.

In related news, some of you asked us to investigate what’s really going on between Joe Budden and his girlfriend Kaylin. According to Joe in his interview with Angie Martinez, they are very much a couple and she wasn’t around while any of this was going down because she had already wrapped up her segment.
