Rihanna is clearly on top when it comes to the music game and now the singer has officially created a business out of her brand as she is now a fashion designer and just inked a deal with cosmetics giant MAC to launch her own makeup collection. And we’re quite sure Rihanna is just getting started, especially since she’s managed to land her first number one album. She’s already gotten herself started in acting in blockbuster movies, and the singer isn’t apologizing for her personal life either these days as it’s been confirmed that she’s back dating Chris Brown, her controversial childhood sweetheart. Rihanna is currently on her Diamonds tour, and it’s off to a rocky start since she’s had to cancel a couple of shows as a result of laryngitis. But Rihanna’s loyal fan base whom she affectionately refers to as the “Navy” continues to support Rihanna and we doubt her ticket sales will slow down any as a result of the cancellations.

Another thing Rihanna’s particularly very good at is landing magazine covers. And we’re sure that most likely has to do with the fact that Rihanna just knows how to strike a pose and makes it all look very easy. Despite how fierce Rihanna looks in all of her spreads, it’s now being reported that her magazine covers aren’t doing well in sales when it comes to the newsstands. In fact, it’s being reported that her recent Vogue cover flopped.

Fashionista reports:

Rihanna’s Vogue November issue also tanked: It sold 227,000 copies–32 percent below the six-month average–making it the glossy’s second-worst selling issue all year. Vogue’s Olympic issue, covered by Ryan Lochte, Hope Solo and Serena Williams, has the dubious honor of being the worst-selling issue.

  1. Eh, I think most of Rih’s fans are too young to be into magazines. They do everything on the internet. I think Vogue’s expectations were too high.

  2. Surprise, surprise. Not. LOL. The truth is Rihanna is pretty much the same in all her interviews. It’s a given that she’s going to talk about Chris in her interviews, get naked, smoke weed on IG, and try too hard to be “real.” How many issues does one need to buy with her on the cover to not understand this by now?

  3. Honestly, I’m tired of her and Chris so I can see why the issue didn’t sell. The whole situation has been beaten to death (no pun intended).

  4. Older women who read Vogue wouldn’t necessarily be interested in Rihanna. So yeah, they should have done some homework before they made the decision to put her on the cover. Her fan base is pretty young.

  5. Why should anyone pay to see Rihanna half naked on a magazine cover when you can see her half naked for free on instagram!

    1. *Standing Ovation*…I totally agree…it is her fault that the cover flop, cuz we’re full of her naked photo on IG and like you said for free, why in the hell would we buy more of the same?
