Source Says Nicki Minaj is Rude on Set of ‘Idol’ & Always Late

Nicki Minaj‘s gig on American Idol has been filled with drama from the very start as it sparked a beef between her and Mariah Carey, viewers not being very intrigued by their feud. After storming off the set and still not fully mending things with Mariah, Nicki has continued her stint with the show though producers are starting to second guess hiring her as a judge, the show rumored to be on the verge of being cancelled . Though Nicki Minaj has done a 180 when it comes to her style and image, many people think her diva antics are still in full effect as Nicki Minaj showed up late to one of the recent shows and caught some backlash over her tardiness. Nicki was puzzled by all the anger as she said her showing up late to ‘Idol’ wasn’t as big of a deal as everybody was making it out to be. Nicki and ‘American Idol’ execs must see things very differently as it was said that they were furious with Nicki for showing up late. Apparently though, being extra tardy is something that Nicki has been doing from Day one, a source reveals to RadarOnline:

“Nicki has ALWAYS been late. Even back during the audition phases she showed up anywhere from an hour or two past call time, pushing all of the auditions back and angering the other judges.”

The insider also added that not only is Nicki notorious for being late to shows but she was rather rude to the contestants and their families, not trying to talk with them or let them take pictures of or with her:

“Not only was she always late, but she always had a huge entourage with her and was rude to the contestants and their families, refusing to talk with them. And she wouldn’t allow anyone to take pictures of her, or with her.”

And they recall a time during Hollywood week when Nicki and her entourage showed up over two hours late, holding up the other judges and kept everyone waiting:

“Hollywood week was already miserable enough because contestants had to wait in the auditorium and watch everyone audition one by one, with only an hour lunch break — but Nicki didn’t help matters. After the lunch break one day everyone was waiting to audition and the judges all showed up together two and a half hours late and it was because of Nicki. All of the families had to wait outside the holding room, so they didn’t know what was going on that whole time until Nicki and her entourage finally showed up. She never showed up before 11 a.m.”
