Beyonce and Mathew Knowles’ relationship isn’t what it used to be. Beyonce is without a doubt one of today’s biggest names in music, but she owes a lot of that success to her father’s guidance since he is the one that managed her career until 2011. Mathew and Beyonce decided to split on a professional level, but in the end the split would also ignite a personal split that some speculate was the result of Mathew’s inability to be faithful in his marriage to Beyonce’s mom Tina. Mathew’s extramarital affairs also led to a son he fathered outside the marriage, and the situation continues to get messier as his baby mama is always talking to the tabloids and even filed a suit recently against Mathew for allegedly making threats.
Regardless, Beyonce has been somewhat open about her falling out with her father and even said in her HBO documentary Life is But a Dream that she was saddened to lose her close relationship with Mathew.
Well it appears that Mathew is saddened by the rift as well because he tells The Sun in a recent interview that it was very difficult to lose Beyonce and he even says that even though the split was mutual, even now it’s still hard to cope with the rift between him and his superstar daughter. He says:
“Normally I hate to talk about anything personal, but it would be a lie if I did not say it has been difficult. It was hard for me to let her go — it was hard for both of us to let each other go. And let’s be clear on that. She didn’t let me go, we both let each other go. That’s a big difference.
“This was not a normal ending of a business agreement. This was a dad and a daughter and it was incredibly painful and it had some difficulties. But I try to always have a positive mind about things and you got to do it the right way.”
Sad. I really do hope they are able to make things right one day.
I love Bey. I hate that she and her father aren’t on good terms, but it’s hurtful to see your dad cheat on your mom. Kids don’t forget that!
Mathew brought all of this on himself. You don’t step out on your family. Ever. Karma is what he got.

Mathew definitely put Bey on but he has to understand where she’s coming from.

NO sympathy for Matt! He cheated and devastated his family. All for a crazy a-s jumpoff.
The sad thing is a married man will cheat on his family and then act surprised when his kids cut him off. What did they expect? Cheating is a devastating thing for the kids AND the wife.

Bey is close to her mom. They are BFFs. She chose a side because she’s angry. I think she’ll forgive him one day though.
Love me some Bey, but people aren’t perfect. Our parents are flawed. Some men cheat on their wives. But don’t cut your dad out your life. She’ll live to forget it one day. IJS.
I don’t think she is angry she is more so hurt. This is her father and as a young girl you look up to your dad as though he can do no wrong. I pray that one day she will forgive him, but it is more hurt than anything.
SMDH. All he had to do was put his family first. Instead he put his d-ck first.
