In crazy reality television news, it’s being reported that Kordell and Porsha Stewart are calling it quits. Now if you’ve been watching season five of Real Housewives of Atlanta, then you already know the couple has ben dealing with people’s strong opinions of their marriage. Cast mates of the hit reality show have expressed that they feel Kordell is too controlling of Porsha, and Porsha had even admitted at times that she was a little confused on what to think about the conditions of her marriage. Interestingly enough, Porsha has been doing plenty of interviews as of late and said she’s proud that Kordell is the head of her household. She even mentioned that she was old school and enjoyed being a trophy wife to the former NFL star. But now TMZ is reporting that the couple is heading for divorce:
According to Fulton County Superior Court in Georgia, the 40-year-old NFL alum — who went by the nickname “Slash” during his playing days — filed for divorce on March 22.
Stewart and Williams were married on May 21, 2011 — they have no children together. Stewart has a son from a previous relationship.
…According to the divorce docs, obtained by TMZ, Kordell says the marriage is “irretrievably broken” … and claims the two are currently separated.
It seems Kordell also believes he shouldn’t have to pay Porsha a single cent in spousal support … claiming, “[She’s] an able-bodied person, earning income and is capable of supporting herself.”
Kordell also says there are no marital assets subject to division … which suggests there is a prenuptial agreement in play.
As of now, neither Kordell or Porsha have made any comments about the report. We are fully aware that TMZ got the Lil Wayne situation all kinds of wrong, so we’re waiting on some kind of confirmation from the couple’s spokesperson.

It’s the reality TV curse. Newlyweds don’t last once they do reality TV.
Good for Porsha if this is true. Kordell is controlling and probably likes men anyway.

Kordell wanted kids with Porsha and told her she had to choose between her career and kids. He sucks. A real man wouldn’t tell a woman to choose between her dreams and kids. She’s better off without him.
It seems like her hubby isn’t supportive of her new found independence and that’s sad, BUT expected. He’s older than her and he wants somebody barefoot and pregnant. I bet she went on that show and found out there is more to life than being somebody’s wife.
Agreed. I was never fond of Kordell anyway. He’s just too bossy and controlling.

What?! Kordell sucks. Women should have the right to choose to have a career without their husband leaving them.
I don’t think I believe this. But if true, good news for Porsha. She’s young, pretty, no kids…she’ll find someone better. Not a fan of Kordell at all.

Unfortunately, not that I like her, but Wendy Williams did tell her this was going to happen and she shouldn’t even be doing the show….sad. I hope this isn’t true just because I am a lover of love and marriage.
She’s not the sharpest in the kitchen, but I like her……she’ll grow….he’s to dam arrogant anyway…….she’ll move on the big & better things….
I’m happy for Porsha! Now she can move on to better. A man that isn’t on the down low and is supportive of what she wants to do in life!!!!
