Kanye’s Camp Shuts Down Reports Suggesting He Thinks He’s God

Kanye West continues to be one of the most controversial artists in music. The rapper is known for getting on the stage and ranting when he feels like it in the middle of a performance, not to mention wearing some rather interesting fashion ensembles which as of late, consists of bizarre masks and leather kilts. Then of course there’s the recent episode which includes screaming on stage, followed by a dramatic drop of the mic. And when Kanye’s not confusing his fans with his eccentric on stage behavior, the rapper is also going off in his interviews and making it clear that he feels he is and will always be one of the top rappers in the game. Kanye recently blamed his romance on Kim Kardashian for not making the top spot on MTV Hottest MCs List, but nowadays it seems like he’s causing more controversy for his rumored next album title I Am God.

Although it’s already been confirmed that the rapper is not naming his next album I Am God, despite the claims made by several reports; people in Kanye’s circle are doing more damage control and told The Huffington Post that Kanye would never be so bold to call himself God. Instead they tell the publication that Kanye has a single entitled “I Am A God.” The source says:

“We would never be so presumptuous or sacrilegious to call ourselves the supreme being.”

The source also hinted that the song title is in reference to bible verse Psalm 82:

I said, “You are gods,
And all of you are children of the Most High.
But you shall die like men,
And fall like one of the princes.
