R&B singer Ciara is back on the music scene and she’s all set to drop her next studio album this summer. Although the singer originally had plans of releasing an album entitled One Woman Army, she scrapped those plans and confirmed last week that her new album has instead been named Ciara. With a new album title came new album artwork, the scrapping of two singles she’s already released, and a new due date (her album was originally slated to drop in June). However, Ciara is sticking with her current single “Body Party,” and the sexy anthem is already getting lots of radio play, so it makes sense that she dropped the music video for the single while the song has plenty of buzz.

Yesterday, the video premiered on BET’s 106 and Park, as well as YouTube. Ciara’s fans have already expressed that they love the music video, especially since it features Ciara’s current boo thang Future. If you haven’t watched the video yet, here’s a quick summary of the events.

Ciara basically walks up in the party in very cute 90’s inspired attire, drops it low with her girlfriends and then makes eye contact with Future who was there with his friends. After the party, Future then approaches Ciara and tells her he knows she will be his one day, and then the video flashes to a scene of both of the lovebirds in Future’s bedroom. Ciara does a seductive dance than consists of a head stand, and rocks some pretty sexy lingerie in the process.

Through it all, she looked gorgeous, and it looked as if she had plenty of fun making the video.

Notable appearances include Joseline Hernandez, Stevie J., Ludacris, Future, Trinidad James and even her former producer Jazzy Pha.

Check the video out below and leave your thoughts in the comment section.

  1. Yesss, I was screaming at home when I saw this last night. She had to come hard like she did in the Promise video..

  2. I think it was cute! I still think she needs to drop her album way sooner than July. She’s got so much buzz now why wait?!

  3. I thought it wasn’t all that. I hyped her up and got something that was too safe. I wanted her to have more choreography and I wanted her to slay. The bedroom scene was cool, but I just wanted more. Hopefully, she’ll do that in the next video.

  4. Honestly, this was a snoozefest. And I say that because this is Ciara we’re talking about. This woman can dance her a-s off and that’s all we get? I’ve always labeled her as a young Janet Jackson with a mix of Aaliyah. And when it comes to music videos, Aaliyah and Janet NEVER disappointed. I don’t care how slow the song was, Janet and Aaliyah were dancing and had visuals for days. She needs to step her game up and embrace what makes her great. This was too safe.

  5. Not bad, not great either. And she needed it to be great. Music videos can make a song a hit. When most people first heard Bey’s Single Ladies, they hated it. Then she did that video and everybody was trying to do the dance routines. I mean everybody. And then like clockwork it became a hit. Videos are too important to be lazy about. I’m a little disappointed.

  6. Well, taking into consideration I was NOT a fan of this track at all, I think the video was pretty dope. Even with the little bit of choreography she did do, I’d be lying if I said I wouldn’t be caught in my bedroom doing the same moves. It will definitely have me turning up the volume on the song if it comes on the radio as opposed to changing the station. *shrug* go CiCi.

  7. Was it good enough for people who weren’t a fan of hers to go buy the album? I ask because people just like to see her dance and i am curious to see if they by the album.

  8. Why do we support garbage? She’s doing the same thing she did before, putting out one sex song (because sex songs sell), that will get played a billion times, and she’ll follow it up with a luke warm second single and then fall off again. In the meanwhile she won’t preform this ballad live , she won’t sing live on any shows but she will preform something old, that the majority of the song she’s dancing like a maniac stripper and doesn’t have to sing.
