Rapper 2 Chainz has made a lucrative career out of bragging about the number of chains he has and gloating about his expensive cars and clothes, but all of that bragging might be one of the reasons he got robbed over the weekend in San Francisco. 2 Chainz has taken to his Twitter account several times to deny he was ever robbed at gunpoint, but the police have stood firm and have confirmed he was indeed the target of a daylight robbery that took place on a street. And if there was still any room for doubt, a new surveillance video proves he was robbed. Interestingly enough, many are thinking he wanted to deny being robbed for street cred and he may feel it doesn’t look so tough for him and his whole crew to take off running when the robber approached them (we can’t say we blame them for running though). TMZ reports:
2 Chainz and his entourage were casually walking down the street Sunday afternoon when at least 2 men approached the crew and pointed guns at them … one in a white shirt, the other in a black hoodie.
2 Chainz and his crew immediately scattered — frantically trying to sprint down the street while the gunmen chased after them.
One of the gunmen seemed to be having fun during the incident … and gleefully skipped after the rapper while 2 Chainz tried to get away.
During the chase, 2 Chainz stumbles and falls … and one of the gunmen pounces … hovering over the rapper with his gun drawn.
According to police, the bad guys jacked 2 Chainz for his cell phone and wallet. Towards the end of the video, you can see a man running back up the street with what appears to be the loot stuffed under his clothes.

This is just more proof that these rappers will go to the extremes to appear hood. Just stop it already. And didn’t he go to college? What thug goes to college?

Had he not been out here trying to be hard he wouldn’t have to be ashamed to run for his life. Hell, most people would run! He’s just ashamed because of that stupid image he tries so hard to portray.
2Chainz and his crew did what anyone who is smart and not so afraid that they can’t run or think would do in this situation. He had too much to loose, mainly his life when these guys ran up on him.He has a daughter that needs him so yeah I would have ran and if they would have caught me I would have given them all of my money and valuables to them because my life is way more important than those materialistic things. I refuse to laugh at this video when these people were minding their business and these stick-up kids could have killed them. How funny would it have been had they lost their life and their kids wondered why daddy isn’t coming home anymore. Would you still laugh if it was one of your family members or better yet yourself? I’ll wait….I didn’t think so. I don’t know why he is denying that he got robbed if that was really was 2Chainz and his crew in the video. Maybe they didn’t get anything. Maybe he is still reeling from that whole incident and is not ready to talk about it because it was a very traumatic experience for him. If you have never had someone pull a gun on you and threaten your lively hood then you don’t know what it is like. I had a guy get out of his car on the 4th of July not too long ago and walk towards our yard where me and my 4 year old nephew was sitting watching the fireworks and started shooting with an assault rifle. Thank God I noticed his suspicious behavior and had already told my nephew to go open the door, because I did this I was able to push my nephew in the house and run in as well as he started shooting. It could have ended differently though. Plus I had someone who I cared about gunned down because he asked someone dude for a cigarette. Now his child is without a father. Like my grandma always used to say;” a stray bullet don’t know nobody”. I am glad that whoever that is in the video whether 2Chainz and crew or not are okay because he has a lot to live for mainly his daughter.
