Lakers fans are heated about Dwight Howard’s recent decision to leave the Lakers and join the Houston Rockets in his attempt to finally win a championship. Kobe wasn’t too thrilled about the news and promptly unfollowed Howard on Twitter after he released his statement to Lakers fans. Although most aren’t surprised Kobe hit the unfollow button as quickly as he did, some people feel the move was a petty one, especially since Kobe is a seasoned champion and still one of the top players in the league. Kobe is still new to Twitter, but like most celebs, he’s learned to use it as the perfect platform to address any scandals relating to his career himself. After suggesting he doesn’t agree with the Laker’s rumored amnesty of Metta World Peace, he also explained just why he decided to cut ties with Dwight Howard on Twitter. Kobe tweets:
While Kobe is saying it’s no beef involved, apparently rapper Ice Cube is singing a different tune. In fact, he actually told a crowd of people in LA at the Kings Of The Mic Tour that Dwight is a “b*tch” for leaving:
“F*ck Dwight Howard, godd*mn it. We love LA! We don’t need no punk-a*s muthaf*ckas on our team. We don’t give a f*ck about a Dwight Coward. We don’t need no b*tches on our team, homie. You don’t deserve to go up on that godd*mn wall. So, I predict tonight Kobe [Bryant] will win another championship before Dwight Howard ever sniffs one.”
In related news, rumor has it the Lakers are in talks with Lamar Odom to bring him back to LA.

Exactly, they are so dramatic and should be blaming Lakers front office for not bringing Phil Jackson back because Dwight said he would have stayed if they brought Phil Jackson instead of Mike D’antoni.

I understand Kobe’s point, but he’s still doing too much. He shouldn’t have stooped down to Dwight’s level. A simple I wish him the best was all that was needed. Unfollow when the hype dies down.
Dwight went where he felt he had the best possibility of winning? LeBron did the same thing and look how it turned out for him? What’s the problem?

I don’t understand Kobe didn’t like when Dwight was playing with him and now him and the dumb LA fans are mad. I think that Kobe know that there is no way in the world that he will get another ring because first he is old and just coming off of injury and of course you never know how any player will look coming off a injury. Then he has no help and everyone know that Kobe need a big man in the middle to win. I just hope he is happy with his five rings because it will not be another one.
