Dwyane Wade divorce settlement in the works? Dwyane Wade and Gabrielle Union may look like their inching closer and closer to marriage, but Dwyane Wade’s legal battles with his ex wife aren’t over just yet. Not only is she currently suing the Miami Heat star for at least $1 million in endorsement deals, but the former couple still has a divorce settlement to finalize. They have technically been divorced for about a year, but money issues need to finally be handled to completely close the chapter. According to Siovaughan Wade, however, she is having money problems and currently in law school, so she’s pushing for quite a bit of D Wade’s fortune to get her finances in order. And according to new reports, this particular legal battle will be a very long one. Gossip Extra reports:
Miami Heat superstar Dwyane Wade is expected in a Chicago courtroom Monday for the start of a trial expected to determine how much he’ll have to pay his ex-wife for their divorce.
Wade, 31, who just won his third NBA title with the Heat, has been officially divorced from high school sweetheart Siohvaughn Funches, the mother of his two boys, for a year.
But a judge in their native Illinois who pronounced them split also postponed the haggling over marital distribution — and Funches is getting about $35,000 a month as part of a temporary deal.
The trial to hammer out a permanent deal is expected to last for an entire month!
“It’s unusually long, but it’s very complicated,” said Lisa Macci, Funches’ Boca Raton lawyer.
Wait how is she having money problems if she’s getting over 30 thous a month? The hell?
I’m asking myself the same thing. She sounds bitter and vindictive.
She just doesn’t want that money going over to Gabby. Y’all know that Mary Jane show won’t last.
I’m so over these two.
Sio was there when D Wade had nothing and his momma was on drugs. Give her a fair share!
LOL she said she is going to get her money.
Get a job Sio!!!!!! Get out of D Wade’s pockets!
I’ll be glad when this drama between these two are over.
“It’s cheaper to keep her.”
I understand being there for your man when he’s broke and still trying to come up, but how is she entitled to more than what she’s already getting? She’s probably never even held a basketball. Consider that 35,000 as a way of thanking you for the support, a lot of people don’t even make that amount in a year smh.
