Beyonce performs Bow Down in Houston? Beyonce has been receiving lots of press in the last several months. She nailed her halftime show at the Super Bowl and even nabbed high profile campaigns with Pepsi and H&M. Bey also dropped her HBO documentary “Life is But a Dream,” and she made headlines for her Inauguration performance even though it did end in controversy. Although it’s been confirmed the singer will be releasing her fifth studio album sometime this year, the details on the new music are limited with fans only getting little glimpses of new tracks in commercials and blog posts.

Beyonce found herself in the middle of yet another controversy after she dropped the teaser tracks for “Bow Down” and “I Been On.” The former caused Beyonce to get slammed by critics and even other R&B artists.

As a result, there were rumors Beyonce decided to scrap the track from her album, and since she’s been on her world tour “The Mrs. Carter Show,” she hasn’t performed the controversial and braggadocios tune not once.

Maybe the singer was saving the track for her hometown because Bey not only hinted “Bow Down” hasn’t been abandoned but she performed the song live in Houston.

Beyonce’s intro for her “Bow Down” performance included female voices repeating rumors about the singer including her faking her pregnancy, wearing too much weave, not being talented or a “diva,” and she stayed true to the theme of the song and included photos of herself as a youngster.

Beyonce’s fans were thrilled to see her perform the song and they even sang along, hitting word from word.

  1. Can’t watch right now at work, but I’m sure she slayed. I love Beyonce for not backing down from this song despite the pressure. She’s really growing into her own woman now. Good for her.

    1. Cosign. It’s her right to sing what she wants to. The main people mad are the main one tearing her down on these blogs anyway Go figure.

  2. I still don’t see the big deal and why people were so damn mad. I guess they realized she was talking about their hater a-ses. #shrugs

  3. Performing this in Houston was great especially since all H-town rappers are on the remix. I was right there singing “I’m out that H-town, coming, coming down” Lol it was fire!!!!!!!!!!!!!
