Kendrick Lamar talks about Jay Z and puts Jigga’s critics in their place in a new interview? Kendrick Lamar is still enjoying the success of his latest album “good kid, m.A.A.d city,” and although he’s still technically a newbie in the Hip Hop game, many of his fans believe he has the potential to be one of the greatest to ever pick up the mic. But Kendrick isn’t letting the praise and hopes for him get to his head and he always shows respect to the greats who inspired him to even get the desire to put in work at the studio. But with Kendrick always comes a great sense of honesty and he made it clear in a recent interview he feels a lot of Jay Z’s critics are just disturbed someone like Jay Z could have come such a long way from the projects of Marcy to kicking it with the President. He tells Bullett Magazine:

“I salute people like Jay-Z. How many tours has he been on? How many verses has he put down? How many interviews? How many radio shows? People forget that. They can’t fathom how a dude from the Marcy Projects is sitting next to Barack Obama, so they make up all types of crazy sh*t and forget the facts: This n*gga dedicated every single day of his life to this, and what he has wasn’t just given to him. It’s no mistake he’s at where he’s at.”

Kendrick’s latest interview couldn’t come at a more interesting time considering Jay Z is being criticized left and right for his recent deal with Samsung, even by his own peers.

*Editor’s note: Jay Z has officially dropped the hyphen from his name. His record label has asked all media outlets to take notice of this in current published works.

  2. It’s just a known fact successful people are always hated by those with a very short list of accomplishments. People are sad. I love K Dot though. I’m sure once he gets to the top, they will accuse him of being in the Illuminati and worshipping the devil too. That damn YouTube. LOL.

  3. I think Jay is used to people hating so hard…Bey too. It’s sad but it’s just comes with success. People will pick you apart and make up lies because they can’t believe someone could win that much.

  4. Love him! I’m so glad Kendrick isn’t a catty dude like LL Cool J and that old rusty poet who was hating the other day!

  5. “Who said a black man in the Illuminati?
Last time I check, that was the biggest racist party”

  6. I think this Illuminati crap is just bogus… people love to make up things or excuses for things they can’t seem to fathom. It’s rocket science, work your butt off, become successful… The American Dream right??? But those who can’t do make excuses for why they are not successful as others so they say, “They sold their soul for fame!” Ummm….. that’s hater talk to me… whatever… Jay Z is great at what he does… and Kendrick is a beast…

  7. Dang… that’s where I am striving to be. I can’t WAIT for people to accuse me of being a member of the Illuminati and worshipping the devil.
