DJ Khaled proposes to Nicki Minaj? DJ Khaled sure does know how to garner some buzz for his new music. For the last several days, the media has been running wild about a “proposal” the producer made to rap queen Nicki Minaj. During one DJ Khaled’s recent interviews, he actually took an engagement ring out of his pocket and confessed his “undying” love for the Head Barbie. Originally, many questioned if he was joking around but after he revealed the ring is worth about $500k, it began to look more serious. And Khaled didn’t help things when he did more press rounds suggesting he was totally serious and is madly in love with Nicki. The story got even more out of hand when a few sites started suggesting Nicki was so creeped out she filed a restraining order against DJ Khaled, but now it appears the whole thing was nothing but a publicity stunt to promote his new music. All Hip Hop reports:

There has been a lot of talk over the last week about DJ Khaled proposing to fellow Cash Money artist Nicki Minaj. It turns out it was all just for promo for Khaled’s new single “I Wanna Be With You” featuring Nicki, Rick Ross, and Future.

The Young Money first lady shot down the idea that Khaled asking for hand in marriage was ever serious. She told Funkmaster Flex in an interview last night, “Khaled is my brother, and Khaled was not serious with that damn proposal, ya’ll. Please let it go. He was kidding.”

The new song is called “I Wanna Be With You” and you can listen to it below:

  1. Ciar and Future need to change places career wise. He’s the one that needs to be the flop with all that autotune bullish-t he keeps making.

      1. LOL! Girl I’m on my phone and my nails have gotten too long. Can’t even type anymore. Smh.

  2. Wow that’s pretty pathetic. And if you’re going to do all that to get buzz, at least make sure the song is decent. This is terrible.
