Chris Brown probation to be revoked? As we recently reported, Chris Brown was involved in an alleged hit and run incident where he reared ended a woman with his car. And it was said Chris was refusing to give up his correct insurance information to the woman. The victim from the alleged hit and run incident also claimed in a statement that Chris went off when she asked him to hand over his info. Chris however took to his Twitter account and said things did not go down that way at all. Regardless, the hit and run charge the singer faced reportedly had the potential to earn the singer up to four years in prison as he is still on probation for assaulting ex-girlfriend Rihanna back in 2009. And now the L.A. County District Attorney has filed legal documents asking the judge over the Rihanna assault case to revoke Chris Brown’s probation, TMZ reports:

According to the docs, obtained by TMZ, the D.A. is asking for the revocation based on charges being filed against Brown in connection with a hit-and-run last May. Brown left the scene without forking over a California driver’s license and proper insurance info.

The D.A.’s legal docs claim Brown “willfully and unlawfully” broke the law in the hit-and-run case. And, law enforcement sources tell us, even if the L.A. City Attorney ultimately agrees to drop the hit-and-run case because the victim doesn’t want Brown prosecuted, the D.A. will press on because Brown has a duty to obey all laws as a condition to his probation.

The D.A.’s documents asks the judge to revoke his probation and immediately remand him into custody. But we’ve learned that’s a standard request and when the D.A. goes to court today at 1:30 PM PT, they will not ask the judge to haul Chris to the pokey.

The website also claims Chris Brown will face four years in prison if the judge revokes his probation.

Chris responded to the news of him possibly serving time in prison via Twitter (Read from bottom to top):

Update: TMZ is now reporting that Chris Brown’s probation has been revoked by the judge in the Rihanna assault case. However, the website says Chris will remain a free man for right now:

Brown showed up at court today to fight the L.A. County D.A.’s motion to revoke his probation in the wake of hit-and-run charges stemming from a car accident in May … but the judge granted the motion anyway, paving the way for a probation violation hearing in August.

If the judge determines Chris violated his probation, the singer could be sentenced to 4 years in prison.

In the meantime, Brown has been released on his own recognizance.

  1. They are looking for any and everything to put CB in jail. Sad that a hit and run will land you in jail but murder will get you a slap on the wrist. This is the world we live in SMH.

  2. These people need to let this boy live. Yeah he’s a douche, but if they think Zimmerman is a hero, they can at least get over what happen 4 years ago.

  3. I’m so tired of people waving the whole Rihanna thing over this child’s head. He apologized and Rihanna even took him back. So how much of a monster can he really be?

  4. Rihanna started that fight and Chris has to leave with it for the rest of his life. Everybody in VA knows the truth. Those two always fought and put their hands on each other. But she’s the victim? LOL. Whatever.

  5. It’s crazy how people don’t want to forgive Chris for ONE bad choice. I hope everything works out but it’s time for Chris to smarten up and just understand that he is a wanted man FOREVER. Don’t give these people rope to hand you with.
