Frank Ocean’s Cousin Files Lawsuit Against Chris Brown

Chris Brown Frank Ocean fight leads to singer getting hit with lawsuit from Frank’s cousin? The Chris Brown and Frank Ocean brawl was a big topic surrounding the two singers at the beginning of the year as they reportedly got into a parking lot brawl outside of a recording studio. And when it came to the alleged brawl, there were numerous stories being told as to what actually went down between Chris and Frank. Frank Ocean claimed Chris and his crew made the first move and attacked him while Chris’ camp came to Chris’ defense and claimed the singer threw no punches during the altercation. Despite Chris’ camp’s claims, Chris was captured in a photo wearing a cast on his arm which led some people to question the story his entourage was telling.

Frank Ocean was set on pressing charges against Chris Brown over the fight but ended up changing his mind about it as he wanted to just move forward from the drama created by the incident. However, one of Frank Ocean’s cousins is taking legal action against Chris Brown as a lawyer for Frank’s cousin Sha’keir Duarte has filed a lawsuit against Chris over the parking lot altercation. The Wrap exclusively reports:

In the suit, which was filed in Los Angeles Superior Court on Tuesday, Ocean’s cousin Sha’keir M. Duarte alleges that an employee of Brown’s — identified as “Hood” in the complaint, in which he’s also named as a defendant — punched and kicked him, while Brown egged the employee on.

According to the complaint, Ocean and Duarte arrived at Westlake Recording Studios to find a Lamborghini was parked in a spot reserved for Ocean. The suit goes on to allege that, when Brown, Hood and two other individuals emerged from the studio, Ocean asked about the spot an the foursome “moved forward in a menacing manner.”

After which, the suit claims, Hood “lunged and struck plaintiff with a punch to his face” as Brown yelled, “Get that N—er!”

The lawsuit also claims that the incident caused Frank’s cousin Sha’keir to suffer severe mental and physical damages and alleges the injuries he received during the altercation could result in a permanent disability.
