Rapper Foxy Brown may not be in the forefront of the female rap game like she was years ago, but she’s established herself as one of the most influential female emcees to ever pic up a mic during her heyday. Now that she hasn’t had an album out in quite some time, she’s instead decided to give more interviews and open up more about the experiences she did have during her success. However, Foxy learned very quickly that even stepping back from music won’t keep her from being a target of the blogs and vicious rumors. As we reported recently, Fox Boogie was accused of stealing $900 weave from a New York hair stylist, and there was also rumors floating around that she allegedly called her former mentor Jay Z out for liking trannies and she reportedly told some people they used to have a sexual relationship. Foxy denied doing so to TMZ recently and also claimed she would be filing lawsuits against those who made the claims she insists are false. However, it’s clear by her recent interview with MTV’s RapFix Live that she’s having a hard time being the target of rumors.
The rapper broke down in tears and says she just wishes people would let her live in peace:
“When it’s just completely redundant, when it’s negative stuff being said constantly, it becomes annoying. It becomes tiring.
“I have tears in my eyes right now because what I’ve been through, you guys don’t understand. The fact that somebody can just lie and it becomes a trending topic, where everybody is talking about it, and you have to constantly come out of the booth and stop what I’m doing to defend a lie.
“You know me I’m far from weak, I’m as strong as they get. I have the heart of a soldier, but after a while it becomes let her live. Let her live.”
Foxy also addressed her long standing beef with fellow female rapper Lil Kim. According to Fox, she’s not over Kim laughing at her for losing her hearing:
“The last time she and I were even [around], there was a shoot-out, the last comment I ever remember her making about me, she laughed at the fact that I lost my hearing. Those things, when people do things like that, and they have malicious intent, that’s different than people just having a rap battle.”

I always liked Foxy. I feel bad for her because you can tell she’s been through a lot. But if she wants to rap again, she has to get tougher skin because these blogs and cutthroat media people aren’t going anywhere. Times have changed.
