We’re sure most of us can remember the scary time the country endured during the Beltway Sniper attacks. During the horrific time, a series of coordinated shootings took place in Washington D.C., Maryland and Virginia. Ten people were killed and three were critically injured in the three affected states. Eventually police were able to figure out that one of the suspects had military training and operated out of a vehicle. In the end it was confirmed John Allen Muhammad was the brains behind the attacks and minor Lee Boyd Malvo was his accomplice.

Both men would utilize John’s blue 1990 Chevrolet Caprice sedan to complete their shootings and it’s still being debated to this day if their actions fit the mold of serial killers.

An upcoming movie entitled “Blue Caprice” attempts to tell the story of the Beltway Sniper attacks, and the based on true events movie’s official trailer has been released. The synopsis for the film is the following:

The striking feature film debut of writer-director Alexandre Moors, BLUE CAPRICE is a harrowing yet restrained psychological thriller about an abandoned boy lured to America into the shadows of a dangerous father figure. Inspired by true events, BLUE CAPRICE investigates the notorious and horrific Beltway sniper attacks from the point of view of the two killers, whose distorted father-son relationship facilitated their long and bloody journey across America.

Marked by captivating performances by Isaiah Washington and Tequan Richmond, lyrical camerawork, and a unique and bold structure, BLUE CAPRICE documents the mechanisms that lead its subjects to embrace physical violence. BLUE CAPRICE paints a riveting portrait of 21st-century America and a haunting depiction of two cold-blooded killers that will endure long after the lights come up.

The movie will be released on September 13. Check out the trailer below:

  1. Looks good. That was a really scary time. It had people scared to even step out their homes. I was shocked it was two brothers.
