Rassheeda and Kirk Frost’s on-screen drama was a huge focus in season two of “Love and Hip Hop Atlanta,” and it was clear from the first few episodes that the couple’s marriage took a drastic turn. Although Kirk was very supportive of his wife’s career the first season, he wasn’t in the second season and even appeared to cheat on her while she was pregnant. At one point of the show he flat-out told Rasheeda he didn’t want to be married and asked her to get rid of the baby. The couple’s drastic change from season one caused many to suspect they were faking their drama for TV, especially when viewers initially complained the couple wasn’t interesting enough in season one. In a recent interview with Vibe Vixen, Rasheeda kind of admits she can understand why viewers weren’t buying their storyline:
“Everybody has that mindset like these shows are off the chart…that they are all fake. Coming into the show initially it was something that Kirk didn’t even want to do. So he was in a place like, “I’m just here because of you.” We had a lot of issues in our marriage, but we didn’t put them on the table at the beginning because we were new to all this. We were green to the whole reality TV situation. And then we were both thinking about my artistry and the things I’m trying to do. We just tried to keep everything on the up-and-up for the most part.
“The crazy thing about it is relationships have problems all the time. And we were going through some things then that we didn’t even put all of the situation out there on television. But coming into the second season we were both like, ‘You know what? Let’s just let our realities be what they are…and make it do what it do.’ What people have to understand is nobody’s relationship is perfect. But I’ve talked to people that have problems way worse than me and Kirk have been through [laughs]. I’m going to keep it real. Half these h*es have been through the same things we were going through, but they want to act like they are perfect. But with us it just played out on TV.”
Fake or not, the baby is still on the way. And earlier this morning, Rasheeda alerted her fans that she had gone into labor. She posted the following photo and writes in the caption:
I’m so ready to see Karter!!!!
Kirk is by Rasheeda’s side and both seem to be excited for the soon arrival of their second baby boy together. Stay tuned.
Update: Baby Karter is here. While Rasheeda nor Kirk have posted any photos of their new baby boy yet, she did confirm to her fans that he finally arrived:
Congrats to Rasheeda and Kirk.
LOL it’s about time.
Aww yay!
Wishing lil Karter a healthy arrival.
I feel like she’s been pregnant forever. I hope it goes well.
Aww shucks.
Wish them well.
I’m annoyed by the fake storyline, but I hope their baby boy has a safe arrival.
I know she’s happy.
Congrats rasheeda!
