Rapper DMX’s continuous struggles with substance abuse and his back to back stints in jail have made it clear that a comeback to reigning in Hip Hop may not happen any time soon. In the last several months, his arrests continue to increase, and now the former Ruff Ryders star has been arrested twice in South Carolina in the last couple of months. His most recent arrest was a pretty explosive one considering DMX was so outraged because he claims too many police officers were called to the scene and he felt he was set up. The cops told TMZ they searched his car after they pulled him over for making an illegal U-turn, and after searching the car they discovered weed.
DMX’s camp has released a statement to All Hip Hop regarding the recent arrest, and his publicist says the rapper did not have any weed in his car and the cops never showed him the substance at all during his arrest:
“DMX was driving in the passenger seat when the vehicle he was in was pulled over last night. Although officers pulled them over for a minor traffic violation, DMX was asked to step outside so they can search the vehicle. Officers then claimed that they found bags of marijuana in the floorboard and arrested X. No drugs were found on DMX or the other passengers and the alleged bags of marijuana were never shown to DMX or the other passengers. DMX was released this morning at approximately 11am EST and is back at his home in South Carolina.”
TMZ says the rapper is out of jail as of now and currently on house arrest.

He’s a sad case. I’m not saying it’s not possible that the cops set him up, but he’s been a mess for years and doesn’t seem to want to change, not even for his kids. That is pretty selfish.
Ha…not buying it. I pity his publicist.
