Beyonce may have her eye on an Oscar and revealed it’s her longstanding dream to become an Academy Award winner for a strong on-screen performance, but it looks like the singer may have landed a big accomplishment that should suffice for now while she works on getting an Oscar. Beyonce made headlines after a pretty epic performance and half time show for the 2013 Super Bowl, and many suspected her show was so big because she would soon be announcing the release of her fifth studio album. Unfortunately for Beyonce’s fans who are waiting patiently for a new album, the album didn’t come, but “the Beyhive” was excited to learn that Beyonce did wrap up the recording of her upcoming album and a name for the album has already been chosen. It’s also a good sign that she just shot a music video a few weeks ago at Coney Island, even though that ended up causing lots of drama.

Beyonce has even more reason to celebrate after making out safely from one of her overzealous fans nearly pulling her off stage at a recent performance. According to reports, Beyonce has won an Emmy for her Super Bowl performance. The singer and her crew won the award for “Outstanding Lighting Design/Lighting Direction for a Variety Special.”

Beyonce was actually nominated in three different categories but some were shocked that her documentary for HBO “Life is But a Dream” wasn’t what got her nominated. But Bey shouldn’t be too disappointed since the ratings for the film broke records.

The singer will receive her Emmy early since her performance was nominated in three technical event categories and it is tradition for winners of these categories to get their awards a week before the actual ceremony.

Congrats to Beyonce.

    1. Baby, Rihanna’s documentary which came on a non cable station FLOPPED. Meanwhile, Bey’s documentary just got her an Emmy and she wasn’t even trying. I wouldn’t try to throw shade if I were you. Shhhh.

    2. Just say congrats and keep it moving. Yall be the main ones crying when people go in on Rihanna on here but look how yall act on Beyonce posts. Hypocrites.

    3. But Rihanna would never get nominated for an Emmy for her documentary because truthfully there’s nothing interesting about her grabbing her crotch on stage all day and smoking weed on Instagram.

    1. And the sad thing is Bey’s performance old or new undoubtedly beats out Rihanna’s performance(if that’s what y’all want to call it) of crotch grabs and off key singing. Stay delusional stans Ha!

    2. Hating isn’t a good look on you. You honestly can’t do it right, your fave is the queen of that AND ONLY THAT. Take some pointers.

  1. In the immortal words of KING BEY “don’t get it twisted, get it twisted this my sh-t, bow down b-tches” Congrats KING BEY!!!

    1. Well if that’s the case she can just do what your fave does and come out with a mediocre album every year that barely goes platinum.

    2. Meanwhile rihanna better be making sure she keeps posting naked photos to stay relevant. Winning an Emmy > sitting around naked for attention. See the difference?

  2. My goodness you Rihanna fans act like only one black woman can win at one time. Please stop and congratulate this woman! She is killing the game and that doesn’t take away from Rihanna’s success!

  3. Congratulations to Beyoncé the modern day queen of music for nobody does is like her! Since her I Am World tour Beyoncé has been skilled in editing & directing some of videos including her live shows along with lightening and technical design. Within the next few years I see Beyoncé officially earning the title of EGO for she will have her 17plus grammys, Emmy and Oscar!
