Miley Cyrus twerking days over? Miley Cyrus has completed transformed her image as she went from a Disney star to a twerk machine. Miley’s racy image along with her desire to collaborate with various rappers has many people giving the singer the side eye. Miley has received props from some rap artists in the game for her twerk efforts and even influenced other celebs to join the craze. Not everyone is feeling the new Miley Cyrus though as she has also received a boatload of backlash over her new-found image and twerking skills. However, Miley’s performance at the MTV Video Music Awards this year was the last straw for some people, including her ex-fiance Liam Hemsworth (she is now reportedly dating producer Mike Will Made It).

The singer’s performance caused all sorts of outrage to surface and some who happened to catch her performance felt it to be laced with racism. And there are some big names in the business who feel she needs to really work on her twerking skills. Miley has had her share of words for her critics but it looks like her twerking days may be coming to an end. In her recent interview with Rolling Stone, Miley addressed her infamous VMA performance and the criticism she has been faced with. Miley says she feels that because of the show she put on at the VMAs, people will now expect her to twerk with her tongue out all the time which is why she’ll probably never do it again:

She says:

“People are like, ‘Miley thinks she’s a black girl, but she’s got the flattest a*s ever. I’m like, ‘I’m 108 pounds! I know!

“Now people expect me to come out and twerk with my tongue out all the time. I’ll probably never do that s–t again.

“I wasn’t trying to be sexy. If I was trying to be sexy, I could have been sexy. I can dance a lot better than I was dancing.”

In related news, Twitter is also buzzing because people seem to think Beyonce’s younger sis Solange Knowles may have thrown some shade Miley’s way.

Solange took to Twitter to post cryptic messages about people pretending to be black for fun and interestingly enough, Miley recently said her new image is about her “just having fun.” Solange tweets (read from bottom to top):

  1. Solange said the damn truth. Miley and other washed up pop stars always reinvent themselves to be more urban and raunchy when they are almost finished in the business. It makes me wonder if that’s how they really see us.

  2. LOL. Solange is a mess. It does seem like Miley is just playing the urban card to become relevant again. I mean it’s a strategy that works.

  3. Good because she looked like a damn fool trying to twerk and people were giving her too much credit for twerk. I can’t stand Miley because of her my dad is asking me what is twerking *blank stare* Anyways Solange is absolutely right it’s all fun to play and act black like its a hobby.

  4. Solange just said what most of us were thinking. Miley plays the black card for attention and it’s worked. By her next album she won’t be twerking and she’ll clean herself up and pull the “i’ve changed and matured” card. Typical.

    1. Well maybe if Miley didn’t have ALL black women in her video and ALL black women on stage performing I would think differently. Let’s not play stupid everybody with half a brain knows what Miley is doing.

      1. I feel you but I just have a problem with the whole twerking thing. For some reason it’s being associated with black women and Miley is mentioned more so for her twerking than anything else. Remember, she just performed on the VMAs. But she’s been twerking for a good minute now. So it just seems like most people are mad that she’s twerking and they see that as her trying to be black. I see it as her being young, dumb and desperate for attention. Bringing black girls on stage was also for attention IMHO.

        1. I don’t like the whole twerking movement now either. Yea it shouldn’t just be associated with black women but when you have Miley a white female surrounded with black women dancing. People will draw stereotypes like all black women do this they won’t blame Miley they will blame the so called influence. It’s not all her fault these dumba-s rappers that are exploiting her are just as much to blame too. Everybody has their own agenda they want to be with her because of the notoriety she will bring them. But I see your point though.
