Nicki Minaj makes Forbes list again as one of the top earners in Hip-Hop? Rapper Nicki Minaj started out making a lot of noise with the mixtapes she put out as she attempted to officially put herself on the map. And she eventually got her chance to shine as Lil Wayne helped Nicki get the big break she was looking for. Ever since she made her way to the mainstream side of things, Young Money’s leading lady has managed to achieve things even some of the dopest female rappers who came before her haven’t been able to do. Despite her rocky experience as judge on “American Idol” and lawsuits, Nicki has continued to hold down the top spot in the female rap game and steadily grow her empire with all the endorsement deals she has snagged. With all the streams of income Nicki has right now, it’s no surprise that she has not only landed herself on the Forbes list again as one of the highest earners in Hip-Hop but she is also the only woman to appear on the list for this year.
Nicki Minaj landed in the number four spot on the Forbes “The World’s 20 Highest-Paid Hip-Hop Artists List” for 2o13. Music mogul Diddy, who is always taking on a number of projects at one time, held down the number one spot on the list earning $50 million so far this year. Jay Z secured the number two spot on the list with Dr. Dre coming in right behind him at number three.
Check out the top ten earners on the list below:
1. Diddy ($50 Million)
2. Jay Z ($43 Million)
3. Dr. Dre ($40 Million)
4. Nicki Minaj ($29 Million)
5. Birdman ($21 Million)
6. Kanye West ($20 Million)
7. Lil Wayne ($16 Million)
8. Wiz Khalifa ($14 Million)
9. Ludacris ($12 Million)
10. Pitbull ($11 Million)
Congrats to all the top earners and to Nicki Minaj for being the only female to make the list.
In related news, Jay Z is teaming up with Barneys New York to put together a gallery for the holiday season. In the partnership, limited edition Jay Z designs will be sold which will include watches and products from various designers Balenciaga, Balmain, Lanvin and more. And because Jay Z has made it clear he is definitely about helping students further their education, a quarter of the profit from sales will be used to help low-income students pay for college. Jay Z’s collection will become available on November 20th.
Congrats to all of them.
I have to give Nicki her props you know you a true boss when you making more then your boss wayne and baby. I also didn’t think Wiz was making as much as he does. Kudos to Jay-z for helping college students with tuition now why news people won’t report this instead of the negativity.
This is where hard work can get you. Congrats.
Nicki wins! 🙂
Nice.
It’s a damn shame only one woman made the list. Smh.
50 didn’t make it? Congrats to all of them.
Congrats to them all…perhaps I’m sleeping on pitbull…how did he get on there? Is he really a hip hop artist? He sounds very pop to me…
